once I was at an ornithology symposium with my dad attending a lecture by a professor of ornithology about his research. the audience was small. I was planning to go into ornithology as a career at this point, so it was kinda a big deal to me and I was hoping that I might get to work with that specific professor eventually. I, of course, had my phone set to do not disturb. well apparently by default samsung phones don't block alarms on do not disturb. and my dad had set like five alarms on my phone the previous night as I slept, but accidentally made them pm instead of am. so throughout the lecture my phone kept going off and playing random songs from my playlist and I was panicking so hard and couldn't figure out how to make it stop. it was so much worse than a normal alarm too because I have kinda a weird taste in music so it was playing things like gretel by sodikken at max volume.

when I was little my family watched this sitcom called the middle for a while and eventually my parents decided that it's a Bad Influence and we were barred from watching (my sister and I did not care) and it became kinda a meme because the word middle comes up a lot in general. I've been watching some clips from it and honestly they're all fine but the mom. the mom kinda sucks.

my sister uses listerine breath strips which were apparently big in like. the 2000s. and I saw her take one and was like what the egg are you doing acid rn and she acted like I was crazy. while she was taking tabs of listerine. why are there tabs of listerine. ??????

why does the fruit loops toucan have a mouth UNDER the bill? and the bill is just a long solid rod???? kinda disturbing tbh. that bird is not okay. that bird would starve, bake, and be an incel for sure. poor sam can't even get his fruit loops in his face.

imagine if we put other things on cobs like corn. for consistency. peas on the cob. beans on the cob. blueberries on the cob titan arum pedunkle fruit style. bananas already come on a cob. they're just sold pre-stripped (but not pre-shucked). don't fact check me on whether titan arum pedunkle fruit style is coherent btw. it works. I always jerk off my corn with a salty lime; perhaps this would open new doors for jorked cobs.

the word transition in non gender contexts always catches me off guard. the therapist in my group therapy thing always said "transitioned" instead of "died" and I'd think aww good for them before realizing that no. not good for them. they are dead.
