Thought it would be fine going to bed without all my meds. Here I am now, back at work at 4am yet again with 0 hours of sleep and going on 34 hours of uh oh awake time

ooc: Lately...
So lately I’ve been bouncing from two kinds of feelings...either I’m low or I’m manic high. It’s gotten to the point I have spent probably 4,000 dollars on credit cards.
And I have a rinky dink part time job. But you know, I’ll make payments, they’ll get interest you know how this goes.
But I have been either high or low.
Mania is like... that one stupid friend who you KNOW is going to get you thrown out of the bar with their insane antics but they’re invited anyway because you’ve never seen anyone else chug a bottle of fireball, smoke a joint, and hit on the bartender all at once and that trainwreck that ensues is just... marvelously terrible to behold.
yea. That’s the best way to describe it, I think.
Me at 8 AM through 12 PM- I do not exist- I am tired, I am sleeping, do not bother me.
Me at precisely 2:30 AM- I am energy, I am life- I AM GOING TO GO SLAP GOD IN THE FACE.
Wash, rinse, and repeat.
Being clinically depressed during the holidays is hard. The expectation that you are supposed to be incredibly happy and joyful during a specific time can be nearly impossible if your neurotransmitters are a wreck. It just makes it worse, and it’s not your fault.

It will be sunny one day
I have not been shy about my admiration for the National Treasure of the UK, Mr Stephen Fry is in many ways an inspiration to me. His intellect, his wit and his work to educate people in many issues are just the beginning of what could be said about him.
However, what made Mr Fry relatable to me is his openness about his Bipolar disorder. I did not know that many people had bipolar when I was first diagnosed, I kept quiet about it, because having a mental disorder was such a big taboo. Then I watched his documentary, "The Secret Lives of the Manic Depressive" and it changed me. I spoke up more about my condition, I knew more about what was going on in me, and I could work towards getting a handle on it. It has been an uphill battle but up till now, I seem to have less and less spell.
Some time ago, I saw the following on a website:
(Source: Crystal; Image: Stephen Fry, via.)
Early-2006, during a bout of depression, a young lady by the name of Crystal Nunn wrote a desperate letter to Stephen Fry. Says Crystal:
"I had no idea who to turn to. But I really needed someone to turn to and to ease the pain. So I wrote to Stephen Fry because he is my hero, and he has been through this himself. And low and behold, he replied to my letter, and I will love him eternally for this."
Mr. Fry's wonderful reply can be seen below.
Thank you for your beautiful words that calmed my mind in the wildest moments.
Happy Birthday Mr Fry!
