I talk a lot about how, like, some really smart people can still be super dumb because -- that’s just how it is. Like there are some people who are knowledgeable about politics and current events but they are completely romantically clueless and they don’t know how to talk to their partner. There was this one gal that worked for me and she went to UCLA, but I swear to the LORD that she was so book-smart, there was no street-smarts in her in the slightest.

But that’s so valid and that’s okay, because truthfully I have an IQ in the 140s but guess what, I’m still a dumbass. I never listen to my own advice and I can also say really stupid and ditzy things. Sometimes big words go over my head but I also have a wide vocabulary. I’m very emotionally intelligent, but I’m terrible with money. ANYWAY WHERE I’M GOING WITH THIS IS that no matter how “stupid” someone is, you’re probably just as “stupid” as them in a different aspect in their life.

I hope this makes sense because at the beginning of this I swear I was going somewhere. Also, things sound really intelligent in my head but at times when I try to convey it in words, it doesn’t come out the way I want it to.

i just think it’s super important that academic intelligence is not the most important thing in the world. as long as you’re a good person and you treat other people with kindness, that is the most valuable trait to have in this world.
