Probably one of my favorite pictures of Gaga. The binary chair (something that is real and can be brought) is amazing. Whether you hate or love her you have to admit that this is special.

Benjamin Rollins Caldwell
It's been a day full of details, details, details and I am spent. A cocktail is in order which got me thinking of one of my favorite chairs ever, the Impractically Comfortable Side Chair by Benjamin Rollins Caldwell:
Yes my friends, it is a marriage of two things I hold so dear - lucite and brown liquor. This chair is hilarious and smart and good looking (and I'm sure if you are a vodka gal, he could hook that up, too). Also in the Impractically Comfortable collection is this Low Table filled with 787 crumpled one dollar bills. Very Yves Klein meets Krystal from the champagne room...
I dig that this "art furniture" is both clever and green. Most of his items are made out of things that already exist and that no longer have a use. For instance, this Deuces Wild Chair is made of 350 retired Las Vegas playing card decks. Is that pimpy or what? I am also feeling this Korobeiniki Chair, made completely of old pianos. The infrastructure is made from the bodies (first pic) and the exterior is covered in piano keys (second pic). It makes me think of a Reitvelt chair on steroids, dipped in Legos. Or sprinkles.
This Binary Chair 01 is made of old computer hard drives and the seat cushions are constructed from woven computer ribbon cables: Maybe I have become obsessed with details but it could stare at this for a long time: There are many more pieces for you to enjoy on his website so please do. I'm off to see if I have any Southern Comfort...
