He shakes his head a bit as he pulls the towel away and he can feel drops of water fall off still-damp hair and land on his shoulders and arms, leaving dark spots along the fabric of his shirt. Fingers comb through the shorter locks as he tosses the towel over the arm of his couch. The turntable in the corner of the room spins a record -- ‘ One of These Nights ’ by the Eagles, specifically ( he’s still catching up on a lot ) .
Bucky mumbles a few of the lyrics as he walks into his kitchen, very casually scooping his cat off the counter with one arm while he opens a cupboard and takes out a mug with the other. He sets her on the ground and he takes the coffee pot from the machine and fills the mug halfway. Just as he picks it up, he sees that ball of white fur jump back onto the counter. “ Down, ” he says to her before taking a sip of his ( hot! ) coffee and lowers her onto the tile once again. She meows up at him, loudly, in annoyance and he only looks down at her to say, “ No counter. House rules, ” while making a small gesture with his hand to say ‘ no ’ .
KNOCK! KNOCK! His head turns and brows lift when he hears a fist against his front door. So he leaves the kitchen, sets his coffee on the table in front of the couch, and heads for the door. Calvin is right at his heels, curious, and he picks her up to keep her from running out into the hall as he opens the door : “ Oh, hey -- Chels. ” He looks surprised. Should he be? He isn’t...sure. He can’t seem to remember if they made plans... ( Best to assume they did, right? ) He shifts the cat in his arms a little and smiles slightly before his eyes immediately go to the flower bouquet in her arms. Expression changes, bemused. “ ... What’s that about? ”
