you know, the way i see it is that they get on each others nerves (and get RARE reactions; you wouldnt see them reacting that way to anyone else) so they end up trying to push the other as much as possible

in a way, the bring out the worst in each other, but also the best bc without the other, they wouldnt try as hard (like if h/aikyuu’s hinata hadnt met n lost to k/ageyama, he probs wouldnt have tried as hard in training, right?)

man maurice draws out bills insecurity in a complex way like he brings it out to light

and instead of letting bill hate himself, maurice allows bill to hate HIM and validate himself when he fights back

and maurice is careful not to push too much naman
