Bill Hines aka the “LEAD SLINGER” and legendary customizer was born in 1922 and died 2016 at the age of 93. He was born with a badly curved spine and was a sickly kid and spent two year in a hospital, but that never stopped him from being one of the most influential car builders and customizers of all time. When Bill was a kid he attended Sunshine Camp; “They put me on a board, put me in the sun in the morning, I would stay there all day, then they would take me out at night. Two and a half years I did that. And it cured my spine, my humpback.” Bill will always be known for his curved back and lighting up that large cigar while he shapes metal.
