After their stressful experience with the Dark Brotherhood, the two Khajiit decided to lay low for a bit. They ran small jobs for Delvin Mallory and Vex, and spent the rest of their time pick pocketing around Whiterun. It wasnât until one late afternoon, after a large picnic of bread, cheese, and wine, that Inigo pointed out a Khajiit the two had never seen before sweeping along the steps to Jorrvaskr.
âThis one is called Bikhai.â He said with a nervous grin as he began telling his tale of wanting to join the Companions only to be tasked with cleaning. At first he didnât ask for anything, except for the two to keep an eye out for a locket he had lost while traveling to the city. They both agreed, and Darâsha spent the next weeks searching high and low for that necklace until a lead brought her right to it - glinting gold with a picture of a female and child Khajiit inside.
Bikhai was forever grateful. Darâsha and Inigo caught the eye of Kodlak Whitemane, who prompted them over. âKhajiit would like to prove themselves worthy.â She motioned to the three of them. Bikhai was taken back, but didnât argue. Kodlak decided to humor her request by giving the three a few difficult tasks to test their âworthâ for joining the Companions. Through this, they learned of the power struggle between the group and the Silver Hand. Completely disgusted with the Silver Handâs hunting of the Companions, they took it upon themselves to become hunters themselves. Donning the wolf pelts the Silver Hand wore, they worked to push back the threat so that the Companions could breathe a little easier.
In the end, the three were considered another of the pack, though there were many sacrifices that had to be made. Even though the halls of Jorrvaskr would never be the same, the time for a new era had begun. Proud of what they accomplished, Darâsha and Inigo burned their wolf pelts in a pyre and headed out of the city in search of their next mission.
