Starting at 6am I went to a wedding in San Francisco, and was able to take a nice little ride between 6 and 9 the next morning - over the Golden Gate Bridge and up into the Marin Headlands.

I was riding a Marin Stelvio Elite I rented at Bike Connection. Great bike! It felt really stiff and agile and responsive to acceleration. Exactly what I needed to attack the hills and navigate the city madness every morning before the GDC madness.

For whatever reason, the motorist is squeezing this cyclist although there was plenty of room in the left lane. The driver is driving over the sharrow symbol, which is supposed to indicate that cyclists may take the whole lane here. Market Street near Powell in San Francisco, California

Walking San Francisco & Thinking Out Loud . From the Batteries to Bluffs trail just above Marshall's Beach at high tide. The trail gets muddy when it rains but it drains really well for year around hiking. Best Golden Gate Bridge photos are in the late afternoon. . Walking San Francisco & Thinking Out Loud . Walking the GGNRA trails near Battery Godfrey with Angel Island, Racoon Straight and Point Richmond across the Bay in the distance. I might be getting desensitized to all the beautiful scenery in so many photos I've taken. This always happens when I throw my back out and take ibuprofen for two days. I hate to take it but it worked well enough for me to get some self-adjusting done so I could walk around the house again. .
