Amaka can barely even see straight, let alone walk in a straight line, as she makes her way over to his car. She slips the impossibly high-heeled shoes of her feet and lets herself drop into the passenger seat inelegantly, with nothing more than a drunken giggle as a greeting. Her dress is short and in her inebriated state she can’t be bothered to keep tugging at the hemline to hide the tops of her thighs. She takes a moment, raises her hand over her eyes to block out every last bit of light and wills the world around her to stop spinning but it doesn’t. She turns to him then, her voice slightly raspy from the smoke (primarily second-hand) that had filled the main room of the townhouse she’s just vacated. “I don’t know anyone else who’d agree to do this, no questions asked...and I’d really just rather not deal with Kemi or Aria giving me the third degree right now so thank you, for showing up, I mean. I owe you one”

“Hey you--” Scott muttured as he found Laurent sitting at the bleachers. The male quickly slid his shirt back on and sat down. “I was just going for a run. Whatcha doing here?”
