They say there are two things guaranteed in this world: life and death. Thirteen years ago today my biggest hero and inspiration left this world we know. The love he had for my brother and me was undeniable and I’m so thankful for the years we spent together and for my parents for allowing him in our lives. Not a day goes by that he doesn’t come across my mind and I hope he’s smiling down on me proud of who I am. I wish more than anything he was here to see me grow up, get married, move away and begin my life, but that just wasn’t meant to be. They say time heals all wounds. I’m not sure I totally agree with that, but it definitely helps.
