If you wanted to redo the Sapphire x Big chill story, how would it go? What would you change?
I’d probably make it clearer that Big-Chill from that story is a separate being from the one in Ben’s watch (like draw him without the Omnitrix symbol), perhaps the DNA donor. Sapphire’s only seen Big-Chill when Ben’s used him, so even after they meet, she still calls him by that name or “Chilly” and he doesn’t mind. I’ll probably come up with a real name for him, sometime. I think I have but I forget what it was, if I did.
I’ll probably also write how they met and go in more depth about Sapphire’s background. I’ve changed her design but am still working out some details.
I wanted her cloak to be her actual Necrofriggian wings and antennae, but now I’m debating on whether or not to scrap that and just have them be clothes she made using her Glacierdyte powers to model them after her father, who is also a Necrofriggian.
I drew her antennae as a sort of choker/scarf that can move like it’s being controlled by her and can be shaped into a hood, but I’m not sure if I’ll keep that as it doesn’t seem to make sense for it not to be attached to her wings like other Necrofriggians.
Sapphire will also be less of a damsel and will be able to take care of herself a lot more. She has tremendous power but is still learning how to use them, so I might touch upon that, as well. Perhaps Chilly can help her with her Necrofriggian abilities, show her things her father hasn’t, yet.
