I need to know Serena's past like yesterday. So she might still be a former screw but she's too warm and understanding imo. Maybe she was in a pickle and prisons always seem to be hiring. Maybe she was there in a different capacity like a social worker or counselor (but she claims she wasn't one?). Or maybe she really was visiting someone. Or! She's a journalist or podcaster and was incognito as a screw (though that's a bit dodgy?) in any case, if she's here for a long time, I couldn't have been something truly questionable. Maybe she's an undercover cop or private detective? Just with the way she's mentioning John specifically.
Her being a screw (or related to Kev's prison time in any capacity) gives me hope they will address the self-stabbing, but then her connection and constant mentions of John are too strange. Maybe it's misdirection, maybe not. If she ends up revealing both the stab and the slurry leak i may have to write these stupid writers an apology.
