Romeo had started with the basics; a bouquet of roses sent to Natalia’s door, along with a small, white card that read: 

See you at 7, Bella. Dress up. 

All yours, Romeo xoxo

It had taken a good deal of planning, admittedly. Romeo had been trying to figure out the logistics since before he actually asked Natalia to be his valentine officially, and he still wasn’t confident that everything would go on without a hitch. He wanted this to be special. He wanted Natalia to know that, if he could, he would bottle the stars for her - and he had done his damn best to make an example of that. 

6:50PM rolled around, and Romeo was sat in his car, silently panicking. He was going through everything he had done - filing through everything from dinner reservations to his outfit, trying to convince himself that everything was good and perfect. Oh. Who was he kidding, though? His outfit was probably the most perfect part of this whole thing. A fitted, red, floral print suit jacket, paired with a black shirt and black pants. He was gorgeous. Suave as ever.

Blankets were folded, beds were made, cookies were fresh, and Romeo was sitting on the sofa with his legs curled up underneath him. Pippa was purring happily on his lap, unaware that her person was waiting patiently for the sound of his doorbell to chime through the home. Romeo had gone to the effort of lighting a few candles for optimum coziness, and the house felt warm and welcoming as result, forcing his anticipation anxiety to mellow out into something more manageable and happy.
