i just learnt that caesar and bibulus were colleages for every single magistracy. no wonder they hated each other. if i was bibulus and this asshole from a nobody family with nobody connections who was slated as a nobody from his earliest years on account of his apparent poor health consistently outperformed me at every turn was more beloved clever effective and crafty... man i'd ask my father in law to fuck up his triumph too.

Today I realised that I don’t know anything about pouring concrete but I do know that during the consulship of Caesar and Bibulus, Caesar arranged for people to throw feces at Bibulus and afterwards, Bibulus hid in his house for the rest of his political term so people started calling it the 'consulship of Julius and Caesar' because he did all of the work.
