Do you watch Stupid Wife?
I didn't know about it before seeing this ask. We don't get to see often Brazilian lesbian shows so that's interesting, here's the trailer for those who are curious about it :

//Wednesday Spoilers
In regards to Enid, there's mention in she show of her parents sending her to 'werewolf conversion therapy' as her character can't turn into a wolf ('wolf out'). She ends up with a boy at the end and many people call out queerbaiting for both Wednesday and Enid as they're lesbian, or at least sapphic, coded
+ a similar message from possibly another anon :
"Ooh re: Wednesday. I def saw Wednesday as gay (what was that attempt at a het subplot??) but I saw Enid as bi, but heavily women leaving? She talks about being the odd one out, because "all (she) has is (claws)". I kinda read that as her expressing she only liked boys a little. Kinda doesn't fit with the ending I guess :/ But I'm a lesbian dating a bi woman so I was like...les/bi? đ Anyways I also fully support them both being gay. We need more lesbians in media!!"
-------
So, I watched the whole season and I'm going to agree with anon number 2. I wouldn't accuse the show of gaybaiting simply because though Enid is 100% coded as sapphic that does not mean there is heavy romantic/sexual tension between Enid and Wednesday. If baiting there is it's not the show but maybe in the promotion, which I never care to check. Don't get me wrong I sense something between these two, we get to see a friendship that is getting stronger and stronger, it might be a budding love but we need time to see it develop if that's the road the writers will take. Right now Enid is a golden-retriever type of friend to Wednesday and I love their introvert/extrovert dynamic, indeed they just work.
Enid is coded as bisexual. From her pink and blue strands of hair to the "wolfing out" metaphor. She was excited about spending time with that boy Ajax, about possibly dating him, happy when kissing him (though nervous, but that's normal), so I don't see why there's people who think she might be a lesbian. If they want to headcanon her this way, okay, but ultimately this character isn't written as such. Lesbians simply aren't excited about dating a dude and aren't either being super mad when said dude doesn't show up at their date, at the very best one would go on a straight date to force herself and if the dude didn't show up we would be relieved about it.
Wednesday is different. We don't really see her emotions so we don't know much about her feelings for Tyler, the dude was really pursuing her and had his ways to make her feel bad for rejecting him. We don't know if her heart was in that kiss, if she tried to fit in or if she was really in her element with him. Regardless, it didn't felt right as a viewer. In my head I was like "Wednesday would never" and "this is so out of character", whereas when she hugged back Enid the emotion and the authenticity was there.
Hi gay!
Oh this is getting interesting ! Ever since I know Selena Gomez I have a feeling she's not straight but rather bisexual, so seeing her play someone who realises she's not straight (I haven't watched the first season of this show but I guess the character is assumed to be straight) is going to be good and knowing myself I will probably watch the show now that we know season 2 is going to develop in this direction.
Cara and Selena are very close in real life and there has been rumours about them a few times in the last decade (then again it's Cara we're talking about, everywhere she goes there are rumours about which famous woman she's currently dating, if there's a dating club exclusive to famous sapphic women she must be at its centre, lmao) - so I'm curious to see how they play being love interests to one another ? Them playing together like that cannot be a coincidence, Selena or someone in the production team must have brought Cara to the show as her love interest intentionally. This isn't much but worth being curious about. They would make a good pair in real life but for now them having something as fictional characters is great enough !
And let's not forget that Selena Gomez will play the trailblazing lesbian mountaineer Silvia Vasquez-Lavado in a biopic, so there's much to expect from her ! â¨
JoJo Siwa will be paired with another female dancer as the first same-sex couple in Dancing With the Stars history.
I thought it already happened with two male dancers ? But maybe that was in the French version of DWTS ? But anyway it would be a first time for two female dancers in USA !
JoJo Siwa is going places ! â¨đ
Okay so there's a YouTuber who reacts to bad movies called kennie j.d and she reacted to this movie called "he played me." But basically there's some (albeit problematic) bi woman rep because this lady cheats on her husband with this woman she refused to give a loan to in a bank. So I went and watched it purely to see the kissing/nsfw scene between the women. And it's now like 1:30am and I have a class in the morning.
LMAO I think everyone here can relate ! Good for you, you needed it, lesbian kissing and sex scenes is good for our mental well-being ! đ

Iâm the same anon who asked u about fear street! i knew another lesbian is cindy berman from the 1978 one, she at least is confirmed by the actress and many actors that she was complaining about comphet but they didnât show so much because they already set up her endâ
Omg ! I thought that was just wishful thinking from me ! I just checked and you're right ! https://lgbtqia-characters.fandom.com/wiki/Cindy_Berman
Cindy has a "word of gay" trope going on (it's basically what you talked about, when a character is revealed to be gay by a writer/director/producer/ someone of authority in the creative team behind the character), thanks for telling me ! :)
Here's a fun edit and some good additional comments I found (on TikTok and Tumblr) :
I appreciated this video because it shows us exactly what weâre looking for when clicking it, itâs not a âgay is an umbrella term and iâm going to give you recommendations of gay male and trans storiesâ video, itâs about lesbians and bi women, as simple as that. âSugar Rushâ being on this list was also a nice surprise because I think itâs the first lesbian show I ever watched (I had seen lesbian and bi female characters on shows before but not a show centered around this) and we rarely ever see it mentioned nowadays. Those are great recommendations, I havenât watched all these shows but some of them are classics, like .... if you havenât watched âThe L Wordâ stop everything youâre doing and play that first episode, finally youâll see something that centers lesbians, this is what we deserve, to be the main characters, to be everywhere on the screen, to have straight people in extreme minority in a show, to have stories that talk about lesbian sexuality and love. Xx
I usually donât make posts solely directed at bi people but hereâs something for yâall after I saw someone not being sure if she should use that label still because she felt people would think her sexual orientation is not inclusive enough. Nothing obligates you to switch your label for âpansexualityâ, in fact your sexual orientation is inclusive already, always has been. Youâre not some kind of old-school person because you identify as bisexual and not âpansexualâ. Speaking as a lesbian I think the word âbisexualityâ is really cool and easy to understand, so you guys donât feel ashamed of it, you have to love your word just like us lesbians all go through the process of accepting and loving our word. People who identify as âpansexualâ are not more loving than you are, you love people regardless of their sex and that is not âless open mindedâ, itâs the exact same. You care about a âpersonâs soulâ just the same as anyone of any sexual orientation cares about it, donât let anyone make you feel otherwise. Celebs like Keiynan Lonsdale, Abbi Jacobson, Drew Barrymore, Billie Joe Armstrong, Angelina Jolie, Evan Rachel Wood, Tyler Blackburn, Halsey, Anna Paquin, Margaret Cho, Jason Mraz, Alia Shawkat and Demi Lovato are all bisexual and not afraid to say it, so donât listen to the assholes who pressure you to identify as âpansexualâ just because they think itâs somehow cooler. Donât let them change the definition of your sexual orientation, it was always big and inclusive. âBisexualâ is what you are. â¨
