BFTech or Bachelor in Fashion Technology is a 4-year undergraduate program that deals with the various technical aspects associated with the apparel-manufacturing sector. Through this course, one gets a thorough understanding of topics that focus on apparel manufacturing processes, quality control, management and the applications of information technology and artificial intelligence in the apparel-manufacturing sector. Alongside technical aspects aesthetic and design elements are also included in the curriculum to give students an understanding of manufacturing processes, selecting of materials, and quality management. Some of the most common subjects that are taught in the majority of fashion technology classes are Textile Science Sewing Fundamentals and Fashion & Fashion Science, Patternmaking Fundamentals, Garment Assembling, Production of Apparel Fundamentals Draping, Pattern Manipulation and more. The BFTech Course is divided into eight semesters of six months in duration. The course includes both the practical and theoretical aspects to learning.
