DOCUMENTING MY BFDI AU PROGRESS 🌟 #Part 15
Hi, everyone!! I'm really glad we're trying to adjust to this new schedule. I can't believe there are only a few characters left to cover! 🥹 (For now, there are the 20 main characters; I plan to divide my AU into seasons if it's successful, though I doubt it will be.)
Today we're going to talk about one of the laziest (and most troublesome) contestants: Eraser!
Character of the week: 𝑬𝒓𝒂𝒔𝒆𝒓 🙂↔️
Age in the AU: 15 years old!
What was his life like before the reality show?
Eraser grew up in Oakland, California, in a well-off family obsessed with appearances and social status. His father works in marketing and public relations for record labels and big music events, so image is everything at home.
At school, Eraser is known as the funny guy, the life of the party, and the one who always has a joke ready. He uses humor to hide that he doesn’t stand out in anything. Deep down, he’s deeply insecure and cruel — he enjoys pointing out other people’s weaknesses, especially those who can’t defend themselves. Teardrop became his favorite target: imitating her muteness, hiding her things, and making “jokes” about her being weird and useless.
When he met Pen at age 12, he saw someone with natural “cool” energy that he envied. Instead of competing with him, Eraser decided to make Pen his best friend — using him to reinforce his own popularity. He knows Pen is easy to influence and offers him protection and status in exchange for loyalty.
In mid-2009, he joined Announcer’s casting without hesitation. Not because he loves music (he’s actually terrible at singing and rapping), but because he saw the perfect opportunity to gain fame and prove he’s the center of attention. He only got in thanks to a “favor” from his father’s connections. However, reuniting with Pen during the auditions made him feel something he won’t admit: fear. Pen is actually talented and seems ready to shine on his own.
FUN FACT! 📢
Eraser is terrified of being exposed as talentless. He relies heavily on his charisma and his father’s influence to stay relevant, but deep down he knows that in a real competition, his lack of skill will eventually show..
Musical genre: Rap / Hip-Hop
His flow is average and often falls apart when he doesn’t have support. Since he’s not particularly talented, I’m still thinking of the best artist reference i think.. Any suggestions or not? :P
Can you imagine this Eraser—so manipulative and attention-seeking—living 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, under the watchful eye of the cameras? Believe me, sometimes I imagine Profily discovering his lack of talent and exposing him on his global gossip show… what a disgrace.
More characters coming soon! See you next BFLS Sunday ✨
P.D: Remember that in my alternate universe they're humanized. I'm making them this way for now due to lack of time (since I am studying because of that) and no have resources, for now!
