Cycle of violence
Based on a conversation I had with my friend @lapisbites about how the drill symbolizes strife, revenge and violence in BFDIA :D
#you can definitely tell when I gave up LOL#but I needed to get this out of my system. we had that convo like 2 months ago and I HAAAD to make something out of it#It's really funny how at some point all of the final 6 have been in possession of The Drill(TM). fun fact Nickel has also held The Drill(TM#I deliberately excluded him since he doesn't use it to harm anyone. on the other hand. the rest of these guys (minus Book) do use it with#said goal in mind! and it's lowkey fascinating to me how the finalist breaks this cycle. she even jumps over the cage holding The Drill(TM)#hostage. she is above killing. oh Book... Book... stares at my window longingly... there's always something new to discover about this gal!#also . Lead has pointed this out already (hi Lead if you're reading this) but The Drill also works as a metaphor to symbolize Book's#forgiveness towards Pin... which ties wonderfully with my analysis here#It all comes together.
