This past week we held the release part and debut of the Broken Frontier Anthology at Floating World Comics in Portland, OR.
On hand to sign the book were creators Robbi Rodriguez, Mike Lawrence, Justin Zimmerman & Tyler Chin-Tanner.
To read more, check out the full report on the Broken Frontier website.
Next stop on the BF Anthology tour will be Emerald City Comic Con (April 7 -10) and then weâre back in Portland for a signing at Excalibur Comics on April 16.

The Broken Frontier Anthology is now officially âin printâ as the printed hardcover has now arrived and is filling up my garage.
The book looks great. The pages are really sharp and I canât wait to show this off to people.
The book debuts tomorrow night at Floating World Comics in Portland, OR. Hereâs a link to the facebook event page:

Weâll also be at Emerald City Comic Con coming up on April 7 -10, so look for us there!
The printing proofs for the Broken Frontier oversized hardcover are in! This is what 312 pages of proofs look like.

Here are the final cover images for both the @brokenfrontier Anthology and the sketchbook that goes along with it. Both images are by @robbirodriguez and designed by Nicola Black Design, L.L.C.
The last few days have been super busy finishing these up, but itâs all been worth it as the files are at the printer as well as ComiXology meaning we'll have print and digital available in just about a month. The only snag I ran into was sending the pdf files directly to backers. Turns out dropbox wasn't psyched about the file size or amount of traffic. Been working through that and itâs going much better now. Frederik Hautain and I want to thank @nicolasays & Thomas Mauer for their amazing design/production work. And of course all the creators who I'll tag in future posts as we have more announcements. And most of all, thank you Wendy Chin-Tanner, Moo and Juice for putting up with some very busy nights. More soon!!!

More Broken Frontier Anthology updates starting with the limited Bookplate with art by Farel Dalrymple (popgunwar). These are going out to our lucky Kickstarter backers who pledged at the Space Captain level or above and are limited to just 200. Theyâre printed on nice thick card stock and have a sticker backing should you choose to attach it to the inside of the anthology.Â
Next we have a colored page from âKismet: Man of Fateâ written by A. David Lewis, art by Noel Tuazon and colors by Rob Croonenborghs.
Then a small tease from âDeath Signalâ from writer Adam Egypt Mortimer with art by Jeff McComsey and colors again by Rob Croonenborghs.
And finally, another tease from âItâs About Timeâ written by one of the anthologies editors, Frederik Hautain with art by Facundo Percio with colors by Paul Little and lettering by Taylor Esposito.
You can see much more about the anthology on the A Wave Blue World website and follow along with its progress on BFanthology.com.
In case you havenât heard, one of the biggest projects weâve been working on here at A Wave Blue World, is the upcoming Broken Frontier Anthology. After a successful Kickstarter campaign, the creators have been busy at work finishing up their stories so that we can go to print in early September.
Along the way, theyâve been sharing bits of their art and I thought Iâd collect some here.
From top to bottom we have art from The Beard by alisonsampsonart, Flyer by mikelawrenceart, Here There Be Monsters by Sean Wang, Inside Outside by Karrie Fransman, Key by Salgood Sam and No Regrets by Jamie Coe.
For more information on this project, please visit the BF Anthology page on the AWBW website or the BF Anthology blog.
