okay let me preface this with my alex headcanon. this is sorta inspired by the events of the last scene of ep11, but i’m like 90% sure that alex is the mom friend. he’s always the one tasked with being the designated driver, and making sure everyone remember to drink enough water and count their shots.
thus, alex is also tasked with food shopping. another gang member always goes with him to help carry the groceries, and this time it was bones’ turn. bones is such a curious kid! he’s just pointing at all the different foods and vegetables, asking what they are. alex is an Experienced shopper, and he knows how to pick out the best brands and freshest vegetables. imagine alex slapping watermelons sabdsabkjda. bones doesn’t get it, so instead he ran off to grab chips and sweets, and beg alex to let him buy them.
on the other hand, i can imagine bones intentionally butchering the names of various items in a hilarious way to piss off alex. or maybe something like this! also i like to imagine bones trying to haggle the price of various items with the cashier. “cmon ma’am, two apples in this bag are bruised, how about charging us a dollar less?” “bones, please stop talking. also miss, feel free to ignore him.” bones, cradling the bruised apples “who hurt you”
