I see a grow tank im my future! This is what the tank looks like after a massive trimming, bundled plants and loose EVERYWHERE! Now to to sell them off haha, good thing i created a facebook page to help with that.

I have been talking to owners who wanted to get rid of their bettas for a little while now and this lucky man is the cutie I have taken home from a family that was done with him.
I have never owned a dumbo before and I was excited to try but I have had him one day and I already see what y'all mean with the inability to swim.

So i may be getting this dragon fin male from work.. i really like him and have placed him in a mini float tank with corydoras and a juvenile ghost knife so he’s not in the crappy betta tank sump water..
What do you guys think?

Haven’t really ever been apart of the betta community on tumblr but, thought I’d start though. This is my betta Tony :). She’s a crowntail female I rescued from my work. She had severe pop eye when I first bought her, but it cleared up in a couple days in her 10 gal. She’s honestly one of the prettiest females I’ve ever seen; bottom was the day I got her and top is recent.
Alright bettablr here is my beautiful son Tchaikovsky. I got this resilient and amazing water angel one fateful day in April when I was having a bad mental health day and a bit of a crisis. (Yes I am now aware you shouldn't impulse buy fish) I didn't know a damn thing about cycling tanks or proper housing for a betta so I just went to a local pet store and walked out with him and a filtered 1gal. After perusing bettablr and learning about how shitty I was being to this amazing guy (who tbh saved me during a really bad time) I saved my pennies and got him this filtered (and heated!!!) 5gal tank and once I have more pennies he'll have actual aquarium plants and not these dollar store plants (don't worry they passed the vinegar and water test). One day when my roommates get over themselves he'll have a lovely 10gal with real plants and some gorgeous aquascaping. I never in 1million years thought I'd love a fish this much but my god he has stolen my cold dead heart. I honestly wouldn't have been able to fix my bad fish parent ways if it weren't for the amazing community here always answering questions and giving lots of advice. Notably @kouhafish who gave me advice on switching him over to the new tank and @hella-free-space who has such a positive and helpful fish blog. Y'all the real MVPs.
