can you imagine real shiro’s reaction being in the black lion when keith found clone shiro in the space pod he must’ve been like YOOOOOO
i have a feeling it was probably similar to shiro’s reaction to kuron in my fic In The Gray, especially bc astral plane ghost shiro literally referred to kuron as a “thing” - he’s not fond of the clone whatsoever:
That wasn’t him.
It wasn’t him, couldn’t be him, but as the imposter lifted his head with effort, Shiro saw with a kind of detached horror that this thing looked exactly like him. Down to the scar across his nose, the Galra arm, and the way his face looked after a month or two without a razor – it was like looking into a mirror. Yet…it was not at all like that, because this thing was not a reflection, it was a living, breathing being, and it had one muscular arm draped over Keith’s shoulders.
“Oh, dear!” Allura exclaimed, covering her mouth with a hand. “He looks awful. Shiro, do you need a healing pod, you must be at least dehydrated –”
“No, Princess, I’m alright,” it said, and Shiro recoiled violently – it was his voice, but there was something so horribly off about it. Something in the inflection, the word choice, the neutral tilt of its lips as it spoke. “I just…just need some rest. Food and water would be nice, too.” It cracked a smile, and that was wrong, too, but the other paladins laughed weakly and accepted it.
They were letting it in.

R. Are there any writers (fanfic or otherwise) you consider an influence?
Dang, who isn’t an influence?
First off, YOU were one of the writers who got me back into writing fanfiction and specifically into Princess Tutu fanfiction. So thank you for that!
And for that matter, people who are and were mutuals with me on this site helped with that, too. Even if I don’t follow anymore, I still think fondly on you guys and never unfollowed out of malice. Just from having a hectic life.
Then there’s influence out of spite. I’ve done a LOT of character and relationship development purely out of spite. So thank you, authors of pair the spares relationships that don’t bother to flesh out the characters to make it plausible that they’d end up together and writers who overload the tragedy to the point that reading it becomes a drudgery.
And lastly, most recently, influence comes out of whatever I’m reading during my downtime at work. I finally got around to reading and finishing The Neverending Story, and it’s got some ideas churning.

fumiddition it's okay to feel tired and frustrated. you are human afterall! allow yourself to vent. allow yourself to be expressive and allow yourself to heal. give yourself the time and space you need. inspiration comes and goes and that is totally okay. people don't light up all the time. it doesn't make you pathetic. in fact, i think you're pretty darn swell and brave for sharing your feelings and i hope you keep doing so.
fumiddition if there are nights with pepsi and ice cream, there better be two pints or more - because i too, appreciate you and would love to lend an ear not just in times of venting but also in random conversations for miles. sending huge hugs and well wishes your way! Thanks a lot, Fumi. ;-; I know venting can put people off sometimes, but it tends to help me not completely keep it all bottled, which is something I used to do all the time. Breakdowns aren’t fun, so I like to avoid those. Thanks, though. It’s hard to convince myself that I don’t feel pathetic when I feel like I’m just being a waste of space, but I know it’s hard to keep the mind in a healthy place during those times.
