Chatting with a great friend of mine today (love you, feel better!) he said "I just want to hit the road with the boys." ..now that I think about it, I wonder if he meant the dogs, or his friends..   Anyway, that really made me think about how lucky Kayla and I are. We have the ability to hit the road whenever we want. Know how during college you get antsy and don't want to study anymore and just want to go on a road trip and escape? ..I'm doing that weekly. We've been here for less than two months and have already done the east coast of the north island, and seen most of both coasts of the south island. The upside of having no work is that we can just up and leave wherever we are, whenever we want, with no need to look back. We are currently staying with friends of friends in Tanaka, in a gorgeous custom built house on thirty acres of property. Kayla and I each have our own bedrooms, with king size beds all to ourselves, and more than one pillow!! It's heaven. I can have a lack of clothing and sleep diagonally all I want and roll from pillow to pillow just like I'm back in my own bed. Plus we have the best shower ever. Anybody who knows me should know that all I want in life is a huge comfortable bed and a great shower. After a long period of shitty beds and semi cold showers, it's really nice to be where we are. On another note, backpacking is making me miss heels way too much. Who knew i was such a girl? I am wearing them for a week straight once I get home. & am having my sister send me an extra dress..just need to decide on the perfect one. Peacock is a no go because I don't have room for a strapless bra. Maybe the one I wore for the first day of graduation weekend? I have too many to choose from.  #whitegirlproblems. But seriously, suggestions?
