And now they’re lying, claiming they don’t remember any deaths or only one or two, and don’t know where 836 of them were buried. Probably coz the ones who didn’t get marked graves died of things autopsies could prove like extreme neglect, starvation, or physical abuse.

Or they can’t remember where the mass grave they dumped them all in like at Tuam was.

♔ Roger is a reserved man, speaking only when necessary and hiding behind a veil of wit. Parties and dances do not suit him, nor is he known to be good with the ladies. On paper, however, his prose is far more long-winded and elegant than his spoken words.

♔ Despite remaining closed off from most of the world, Roger has a soft spot for his sisters. Their father died when Roger was seventeen, not long after his youngest sister was born. Roger had always been a serious and sullen child, but being suddenly thrust into a position of responsibility at a young age did his nature no good. With no father to raise them, Roger attempted to do so, doting on his sisters yet disciplining them when necessary. 

♔ He studied law at Oxford and is a very educated man, having learned Greek, Latin, and German. A sizeable portion of his money has been donated to numerous schools throughout England, and he is a strong believer in the value of education.

♔ Roger knows he must find a wife quickly in order to produce an heir, but he is thoroughly disinterested in London society. Though he has attempted to court a lady once or twice, he has a reputation for being utterly hopeless at romance.
