AR was in the background, again, moving his pieces, playing his game from the shadows. we got to see the boys getting their business on the run and slowly growing, mostly independent from AR by now, but on civil terms.

and then the whole story takes a huge u turn and all of the sudden AR is setting charlie up. what i want to know is why. yeah, AR's a kingpin, he's the ruler of new york, but charlie and meyer were such a small blip in the scale of things, why screw them over? and from what we've seen, they were on relatively good terms. i don't remember them having a huge fall out. or did i miss it? there's been unrest, a rift between them all, but nothing so huge as to warrant sudden betrayal like that.

i just...don't understand.

and i feel like i've missed something that's not even there to begin with
