👀 WARNING: The Grits Guzzler is on the loose!
Every year in Bertram, Texas, the community gathers for the famous Oatmeal Festival—a celebration of fun, family, and the nearby small town of Oatmeal, Texas (just 5 miles south). Oatie the oatmeal container mascot leads the festivities, reminding everyone why oats deserve the spotlight. 🌾
But since 1978, a sneaky character has been stirring up mischief: the Grits Guzzler! Armed with a pot of raw grits or instant packets, the Guzzler’s mission is simple: convince festivalgoers to “Eat Grits, not Oats!”
You might see the Guzzler during the Run for Your Oats 3.3 mile race, wandering the festival vendor booths, joining the fun at the Pet Parade, or even crashing the Grande Parade—where the Police Chief always swoops in for a hilarious “arrest.” 🚨
Think you can spot the Guzzler this year?
