(Oh plumbobs, that sounds like the catchphrase from that old TV show Through The Keyhole With Some Arsehole or whatever it was called).

She’s nice (Sarah Worm - quit the ‘cute kitten’ face routine, bitch, you’re not impressing anybody ...).

She’s nasty (Jenny ‘Sparky’ Ralspark - she’s egalitarian: she treats everyone with equal contempt...)

... and she’s neurotic (Pandora Nereid Spinney).

But if you had Abade Academy for neighbours, a bunch of nerd sociopaths for cohabitants at Wireless College, an RFID tracking device inserted into your neck against your will by the place you escaped from, and had a GPS tracking device inserted via an even more awkward bodily part when unfortunate enough to run into ...

... ah, now that would be telling!

Let’s just say we’re including a list of suspects in the tabs.

So here's our well measured expert advice in response:

Very, very sad to see the passing of one of the last vestiges of a music world - heck, a world, full stop! - which didn’t take itself quite so seriously.

Or at least Steve Priest didn’t, and boy did Sweet need someone like him to keep their feet on the ground (their, ahem, ‘partying’ was the stuff of Spinal Tap legend ...), ironically by being as over the top as possible - acting camper than Julian Clary on acid when built like Mike Tyson took some doing - yet he managed it, whilst being part of one of the tightest rhythm section in music at that time.

Yes, he’d health issues for years, but still very sad.

(Mind you, the thought now of a Little Richard/Steve Priest team up in the Elysian fields boggles the mind!)

One of our running jokes over at The Mare’s Nest was that the Berry Sweet Genome was from Berry (or Berrypie/Berrypie27 as she was back in the day) splicing her genes with that of Steve Priest.

We’ve still yet to hear her deny it ...

But back to Our Steve. A massive influence on the later 80s rockers who never did quite get the kudos he deserved, who decided retirement to sunny California to rest on his laurels and family life was a more valuable use of his time (despite the offers to play bass on various hard rock records stateside as a guest musician for ludicrous sums).

Berry - Style Meme

I remember stumbling upon Splash during Apricot Bloom's generation. I read the current chapter before going back to the beginning. Once I read just a handful of chapters I was hooked. I dove right into the berry lifestyle, leaving vanilla sims behind. Who needed them when you could have such a colorful, wonderful world filled with gorgeous, eclectic sims? It's true: once you go berry, you really do never go back.

Your story, your writing... they got better as it progressed. I can't decide which generation was my favorite. They were all beautifully crafted, whatever their topic was. All of the sims involved were absolutely breathtaking. Every time I saw an update I squealed. I surrounded myself in the feelings of the heirs and heiresses and felt their pain and joy alongside them. I never wanted it to end.

But alas, the story is over. I was crying by the end of the finale. When I saw those statues, it was all over. The thought that went into that was truly inspired. What keeps me going is the fact that I know you will be playing the Chiffons, keeping us updated on our favorite family, and giving us little gifts of your love and devotion every so often.

I feel like because of this I want to, once again, start a new legacy. My current one isn't doing it so much for me as I would like. Hell, maybe I could write? It might start off poorly, but maybe it will improve as it goes on. But it will never hold a candle to yours.

All I can say is thank you so much for such an inspiring, beautiful story, and for bringing together this amazing community. The Chiffons will always be in my heart, as I know they will be in yours.

Soon I am going back to the beginning to read all the way through, and I can't wait.

Two years ago today something started that changed the world of sims and opened up a whole new era of story telling.

Here we are nine generations and a million hits later and drawing close to the epic ending that will leave people stunned, more amazed than ever before by the brilliant Berry. You don't think it is possible? Well I know it is ^__^

Ooh, awesome! I’m glad to see the return of the concept from “Dream a Little Dream,” which was one of the first Sims 3 Stories I read and therefore has a special place in my heart ^^ Saffron is so pretty, just like all of the Chiffons, and I can’t wait to see where things go with her story!

well, you already know my feelings about merlot <3 so i won't repeat them :p i'm very intersted to see what soul changing event saffron is going to face. i wonder if it has anything to do with the bitters? meh, i'm never good at guessing so i'll just stop lol. very intrigued about what is going to happen next !

Okay, I guess this is technically my first comment (although I did ask a question over in downloads), so I’m going to start by saying I love your legacy. Ever since I found it in September it has become an addiction of mine. I had to create a second user account on my laptop and use parental controls to block your site so I can do homework. Secondly, I know this is way late, but I actually stopped reading to figure out who “Jammy” was (I knew it had to be someone famous), and though I’m NOT a Bieber fan, I’ll give the guy this: he’s a better singer than Mitchell Musso, and the song Baby is growing on me. Third, reading your legacy really makes me want to do one of my own, but I never keep track of where all my CC is from so I’d feel awkward using pics of it and not crediting… Although I have been sharing something legacy-like (does not follow the “rules” in any way, shape, or form, but I call it a legacy anyway) via email with one of my friends and she seems to like it, I just don’t feel comfortable going public with it because of the whole “CC” thing… But I’m getting off track with that.

That video almost had me crying too! it was so perfectly lovely!! Granite and Tranquil are just the sweetest couple ever. I love them so much!

And oh no…I get the feeling that the phone call might have been announcing the death of either her mom or dad. Gahhhh nooo!! D= It’s always so sad when previous heirs and their spouses die =( But maybe the phone call wasn’t that! ….but then, what would it be? Are the kids okay? Eeep! I’m already dying for the next chapter! Haha. And I’m intensely curious as to what Mara was going to show them….so many mysteries! Eeek!

You know exactly how to keep us reading. ….of course, even if there were zero cliffhangers, I would still read. This legacy is one of my absolute favorites for sure <3

Each generation I seem to think “this will be my favourite heir” and then you do it again the next time a baby is born. Now, Wisteria will much likely grow to be my favourite character. All that history, compressed in a little baby’s body.

I cannot contain my tears. D: And so many adorable moments!! I was literally laughing out loud at Chesnut and Taffy on the karaoke machine, and omg Wisty in the bedroom… Oh you beautiful awkward flower!!! She blossomed overnight. *__* Or it sure seems like it… time has gone by so fast!!
