@vierterseptember hatte gestern die komplette berlin expierence. Wir saßen mit 8 Kuscheltieren am Boxi und da kam ne Frau mit Bauchladen und ruft die ganze Zeit "schwänze frische schwänze!". Ihr business war es aus den dickpics die sie bekommt anhänger, flaschenöffner, sticker, magnete etc zu machen. Sie hat Karte akzeptiert. Wir haben ihr 5€ gegeben und nen sticker von ihr bekommen mit den Worten "damit das Herrnklo so aussieht wie ein Frauenhandy"

Went to a fucking. Bouldering house to drink ipa beer with friends. Saw a guy in a Misfits croptop with the biggest ass ever removing his shirt there while i was drinking. He had big biceps and tattoos on them. Germany is good

Working in a company in Germany is insane, because having a vast majority of coworkers being from Germany, Scandinavia or from Slavic countries, i stick out like a fucking sore thumb (hello being a 1.56 m dwarf) also for them calling me 'so extroverted and sociable' while i am, IN FACT, the fucking socially inept person in all my italian friend groups?! My own mother pokes fun at how introverted and weird I am with people. My italian friends love me and protectively call me the feral child of the group that needs their time to come out and be sociable with people.
Meanwhile at a fucking work party yesterday, I had something like fucking 8 different germans telling me 'wooow marina you are zo zociable and friendly and funny!!!!', plus a dutch and a scandinavian person reiterating on that. My dudes I appreciate the compliment (and I like making people happy and comfortable if it helps!), but the base of sociality in this country (and in your countries) IS SO LOW, that even the sociopath italian is considered the height of sociability and life of the party. I could go on about this topic for hours, because every time I'm reminded of how insane this is I just lose it lol, it's way too ridiculous and funny to imagine the standard being so skewed in a country that I become 'the extroverted life of the party one'. But yeah it is crazy what happens when you see culture clash and live/work in a different country from your origin for a while enough to observe these interesting things happening.
I think Berlin is a fucked up place bc it has the highest concentration of the most attractive people I've ever seen in my life (both genders but especially men since I have high standards lol), but then most of the time when you talk to these people they have the most confrontational or rude attitude ever and are generally really fucking unfriendly lol so it just ruins everything
So apparently something funny that germans do sometimes (or at least I hear it here in berlin) is saying 'ja' but distorted with a lower voice, so it comes out sounding almost like a 'jooooa' and I hear it used to basically end conversations 😭 sgsjdjdjd like when you have nothing else to add to what is being said and so you're just like... jooa..... honestly I'm a big fan of it and i wish I could joa myself out of many conversations
