So... another part... this time, how would Beni take care of Suna- alone~ I also forgot that the reader told Suna that Beni was her father in pt.1- oop- I will also be adding a small bonus part with just you and Beni and how your relationship will end.
I will also say, when itâs referred to Benimura itâs your pov. But when itâs Waka, itâs just in Asakusa without you. Okay? Okay.
Also I think this is the last part for the little Didnât Know series, but if you want to see something, then request it~

After taking Suna to Asakusa, sheâs been begging to go back. Every. Day.
You tried to explain to her that you couldnât, but she wouldnât take no as an answer. And you were at your wits end about how to deal with her.
You were currently on the phone with Obi, who knew the situation.
âSheâs napping right now, but when sheâs up she wonât stop asking and demanding to go back.â
âWell, why donât you?â Sighing you switch to a new sitting position on your couch, pinching the bridge of your nose.
âI donât have any days off this week, Obi, so I canât take her.â
âWhy not have Captain Shinmon watch her?â It was an idea that had crossed your mind while dealing with Sunaâs sudden urge to go to Asakusa, but with the way Benimura dealt with kids wasnât your favorite thing. Even if the child in question was also his.
âI know you think it might be pointless, but why not try it? If things go bad then you know to never do it again.â Obi continued, and he was right. You never know what will happen unless you try it. But there was a problem.
They never answered their phones!
Early in the morning, you took Suna and headed to Asakusa before work. The venders that were setting up and the elders out at the time looked at you with distrust and disgust as you passed. But it was a look you first got when you first arrived in Asakusa all those years ago, they didnât bother you anymore.
You made your way to the fire force station after getting stopped by multiple people asking you why you were there.
âWaka! Konro!â You yelled out as your toddler stood next to you, rubbing her red eyes of any tiredness that was in them only to yawn after.
The station was quiet except for the occasional loud snores of the people living there.
âCome on, Suna, letâs go see Papa.â Suna only nodded, not fully awake enough to walk on her own for very long without stumbling. Picking her up, you slip your shoes off and walk into the station, remembering the place like the back of your hand, you make your way to Konroâs room.
On the way home from your last Asakusa visit, you simply explained that the man with mix matched eyes and the face of a scary dog- Sunaâs words- was her father. She, of coursed, asked why he wasnât living with them and you only told her because of your work. It wasnât fully a lie, but sheâs wouldnât understand anything if you told her the real reason- and she didnât need to know anyway.
Knocking on Konroâs door, you waited before the door slide open and Konro appeared.
âY/N? What are you doing, why are you here with Suna?â
âI did try to call, I know you guys donât rely on technology- but the phone is there for a reason.â You rambled while forcing your way into Konroâs room, who wasnât really surprised considering you did that almost all the time when you still lived with them. âAnyway, I came to do two things.â You said turned to him with Suna on your hip, who was asleep.
âAnd what are those two things?â
â1 is to help you fix your bandages. I was only there a little bit after your accident, but I never got to help and I felt guilty because of it.â You gave him a sweet, yet sad, smile, remembering what happened and how Konro risked everything for Benimura. You had found out you were pregnant a few weeks later and left.
âWhatâs the second thing?â Konro said, stepping closer to you and looking at you with apologetic eyes.
âTo dump my kid on you guys for the day.â It sounded meaner than it should, but you werenât wrong.
âAre you sure about that?â Konro asked, not questioning your word choice- knowing very well that you and Benimura had a similar vocabulary and way of speaking.
You nodded, âI tried calling you guys about it, and after talking to Obi this was the best way- I also have work in 2 hours, so enough time to drop her off, help with your bandages and then get to work.â Konro sighed and nodded, fixing his futon and telling you to put Suna down before leaving to get the things needed to rebandage him.
After helping Konro, you were now on your way to work as Konro was watching over your daughter as she slept. Making sure everything was okay before going to make breakfast and wake the 3 demons he lived with it. As he watched her, he couldnât help but see the similarities that Suna had with Waka. She had the same circle eye that Waka had, but in both eyes as well as the same color. And her hair was the same jet black hair color, and from Konroâs point of view- she looked the same that Waka did when he was her age.
After a few more minutes, Konro felt well enough to leave Suna alone for a bit to start wake the Waka, Hina, and Hika so Suna wouldnât be totally alone. So going to Hina and Hikaâs room first, he tells the two to go wake up Waka.
Once the two are awake and ready, they sprint to Wakaâs room with a life time of energy as Konro went to start breakfast. He had asked you what she could eat, despite having raised Hina and Hika- he wanted to make sure Suna wasnât allergic to anything. You said anything was fine, and left it at that with a bag for her and the number to you work place.
A roar was heard followed by two thuds. Konro knew exactly what had happened- Hina and Hika ran into Wakaâs room and were yelling at him to wake up as they ran around him. Feed up by Hina and Hika, he sat up and grabbed them by their collars and threw then against the wall. And Konro wouldnât be so worried.
If there wasnât a toddler sleeping in the room across from them.
Sighing, Konro turned off the stove and walked to where the commotion was coming from.
âWaka, get up. Hina, Hika, go sit at the table.â The two whined before Konro shoed them from the room and closed the door behind them. With his arms in his kimono, Konro lends against the wall. Waka only covered his head with the comforter, wanting to go back to sleep- but knowing he canât.
âSunaâs in the other room.â The comforter visibly flinch at Konroâs words, the older man waiting for Waka to come out of his cocoon. âShe in the other room sleeping. Y/N, dropped her off about an hour ago.â
âIâm going to check on her, so go make sure Hina and Hika donât get into trouble.â Konro said after a few seconds of silence, going to exit the room, only for Waka to stand- the comforter sliding off his body.
âIâll check on her.â
âJust see if sheâs still sleeping, Y/N brought her over early, if she isnât then bring her to the kitchen.â Konro left the room, letting Waka check on his child and him going to check on Hina and Hika knowing that they were probably doing something they werenât supposed to.
Benimura slowly walked towards Konroâs room where Suna was sleeping, making sure not to wake her if she was sleeping. Sliding the door open, Benimura sees Suna sleeping peacefully on Konorâs futon, the large comforter swallowing up the toddler.
All he had to do was check to see if she was sleeping, but looking at her face, he couldnât move.
Normally when he sees a child, he thinks of how annoying and loud it is and how he would rather face another demon infernal. But when he looks at Suna, he sees a new world. Similar to what he first saw, and still sees, when he looked at you.
âWhat are you thinking? I can visibly see the wheels turning in your head.â Konro said while watching the simply sweet interaction.Â
âI always thought that she left because she stopped loving me, it never occurred to me that she thought I didnât want a family with her.â The god of destruction or the ultimate fire solider, never really cared for what others thought of him- except Konro and you.
âI donât think she ever stopped, but she knew you better than you did yourself. I think she new that you werenât ready at the time, no matter how much you deny it. You only started to take your role of Asakusaâs leader seriously.â Konro placed a hand on Wakaâs shoulder, âcome on, breakfast is ready, Suna can eat later.â
When Suna awoke, Waka had been called out because another infernal appeared, leaving Konro with her. And when the first thing she asked was, is there food. Now Konro was watching Suna eat, only to stare at the toddler in shock and awe.
âDis is good!â The toddler shouted as she continued to shove noodles into her mouth with a spork. Konro didnât know what to do or say. While the he was contemplating on what to say, Suna had finished her food and was climbing out of the chair walking toward Konro.Â
âCan you hand me the bowl, please?â Suna asked after tugging on his pant leg, Konro nodded, grabbing the bowl and handing it to Suna. She thanked him and walked over to the kitchen with Konro watching her from afar. After a bit of Suna looking around, she looked back at the two with furrowed brows and pouting lips.
âI canât put this on there.â Suna said, trying to put the bowl and utensil on the counter.Â
âHere, Iâll help.â Konro grabbed the bowl from Suna and placed it in the sink, only for a loud boom to be hear from outside. Suna flinched and looked around before hugging Konroâs leg, the man bent down and puller Suna closer to his leg with one of his hands.
âWhereâs Papa?â Was her only question. Not, whatâs happening. Not, whatâs that sound. But, whereâs dad.Â
âHeâs outside, heâll be back in a few minutes.â Konro felt Sunaâs grip on his pants tighten as a small âokayâ left her mouth.
When the infernal was put to rest and Waka had returned, he felt a wave of panic wash over him when he couldnât find Suna and Konro in the station or around it. He knew that Konro wouldnât just leave- he hated the Empire just as much as he did, but his daughter didnât know anything.
Even though his face never chanced, his mind was racing a million miles a minute. What if she wanted her mom. What if she wanted to leave Asakusa. What if-
âWaka?â Turning around he sees Konro with Suna by his side. Sighing, Waka sped toward them and collapsed to his knees when he was in front of Suna. His head hung low and eye closed. Suna looked up at Konro before looking at Waka, stepping forward a bit she reached a hand out.
âPapa?â She placed her small hand on the side of his head, âPapa, okay?â She asked. Waka nodded and covered her small hand with his as he raised his head to look at her.
âIâm okay.â Suna smiled at his response before she took out a bun of Daifuku, taking a bit before offering him some. Waka only looked at Konro, only for the man to shrug.
âShe has a sweet tooth like Y/N did.â Waka chuckled a bit before accepting the Daifuku and took a bite, causing the toddler to giggle.
âSo, where did you guys go?â Waka asked standing up, picking up Suna in the process as she continued to munch on the Daifuku.
âAfter she finished eating, we heard the noise of you destroying the buildings, so when we heard the fireworks go off we went out and Baba spotted us and gave us some Daifuku.â
âThat Baba...â Waka mumbled, looking away from Suna, who only looked between Waka and Konro with wide eyes.
As night started to fall, and the twins were doing Sunaâs hair- and horribly in Wakaâs opinion- Konro was making dinner with some other fire soliders. Now having even more people due to the infernal that happened earlier in the day.
The rumor of Waka having a child spread like wildfire, and the confirmation of it from the stations guest spread even faster. But only a few knew who the mother was, while most didnât.
âWhatâs your mothers name?â A random lady asked while the twins went to grab something from their room, leaving the girl alone and still munching on Daifuku. Suna only looked at the woman with curious eyes, wondering who this was.
âBecause Iâm curious, who locked the handsome, sexy-â
âThatâs enough, you hag!â Hina and Hika said while rushing over to the woman, flying kicking her away from Suna. The woman was very obviously offended that she was called a hag, she wanted answers even more.
âI was just asking this child who her mother was, itâs not everyday a woman can lock Shinmon down.â
âLock me down?â The woman jumped at the sound of Wakaâs voice, not expecting him to be there.Â
âThat- thatâs not what I meant.â she stuttered nervously as he faced him. Suna only watched as Waka tried to get a straight answer out of the woman, but wasnât getting anywhere. Somehow, Suna could tell that Waka was getting frustrated with the woman, so she decided to help him.
And by that, she set the womanâs kimono of fire, only for one of the passing fire soldiers to put it out with their power. She asked if she was okay, only for her to direct her anger at Suna- only for her to do it again.
âWhat is wrong with that child?! Setting someone on fire!â The woman said, finally having enough and walking off, Suna only giggled as Hina and Hika complimented her.
âSuna, you canât do that.â
âBut you were uncomfortable.â She blatantly said stopping her munching to look at Waka. Hina and Hika raised a brow at Suna, wondering if she was right or not. Waka was surprised that Suna could tell, she was young and normally nobody could see any changes in his face.
âSuna, how could you tell?â Hina asked, only for Hika to repeat, only adding âyeahâ at the beginning of it.
âPapa color went more red.â Suna simply said like it was the easiest thing to understand.
âSo you could tell I was uncomfortable because my body heat went up?â Waka asked not believing it at all. Suna only nodded, taking her last bite of the Daifuku before clapping her hand together and smiling.
ââM hungry.â Was all the toddler said, getting up and walking over to the dinning room. Leaving the twins and Waka to wonder- what was up with that child.
Once dinner was over, and most of the guest were asleep, including Suna, is when you came to pick her up.
âHello? Is anyone awake?â
âY/N, here to get Suna?â Konro asked, him coming out of the kitchen wiping his hands with a towel.Â
You playfully rolled your eyes, âno, Iâm here for Babaâs Daifuku.â You both laughed and Konro welcomed you in, leading you to the back porch.
âSuna has a sweet tooth like you, she almost ruined her dinner with how much of Babaâs Daifuku she ate.â You only laughed as you stepped out on the porch.
âThere was an infernal, and when Waka couldnât find us his eyes looked so scared.â Konro said as the 2 of you sat down looking at the sky.
âThe only time I saw him like that was when Captain Hibachi died and you left.â You let out a deep breath and leaned back. Not saying anything, only looking at the sky.
âCan you get Beni?â You asked Konro, your tone softer than when you first arrived at the station a few minutes ago. Konro only nodded and carefully got up, and after a few minutes Waka was out on the porch sitting next to you as Konro was most likely inside watching Suna.
âYou know our kid almost set someone on fire,â was the first thing Benimura said. You burst out laughing, not wanting to believe it, but you could see it happening.
âSuna knew I was uncomfortable when I woman was asking about who âlocked me downâ.â Even more laughter came from you after hearing those words from his mouth. You werenât surprised by the explanation, for her age, Suna was good at reading people and her pyrotechnics didnât help at all.
âI heard you got scared after you couldnât find Suna and Konro. Not seeing your child is hard, I understand-â
âIt wasnât just about Suna going missing.â You looked away from the sky to look at Benimura, his face looked the same, but you could tell that it wasnât just his normally stoic face.
âI was scared that if something happened, that you would disappear again without a trace.â Swallowing the lump in your throat, you moved a bit closer to him.
âHonestly, I didnât want to leave.â You started, not knowing what to say after, but Benimura didnât speak and waited for you to continue of finish whatever you were saying.
âBut you didnât want to accept the reality that was in front of you, especially not after what happened to Konro. And adding a child on top of that, I couldnât do that- not to you or Suna.â
âBut if Iâd had known-â
âNothing wouldâve changed.â You interrupted, âyou love Asakusa, you love the people and hate the Empire. But you only recently started taking the role seriously, right? The only thing would be that I wouldâve stayed and had a child.â
âwe wouldâve gotten married- we still can.â it was simple, sweet, and something you wouldâve loved to accept. But...
âBeni... I do still love you, but-â
âI know, but think about it seriously, please. Iâm not just thinking about being with you again- I would love that as well- but it would be better for Suna. Having both parents around and I just think Asakusa is better than the Empire.â You laughed, knowing very well that you agreed that the Empire sucked.
âI will, but I donât think Suna will like the offering of a city block when an infernal appears.â
When you first moved from Asakusa back to the empire, you didnât have anything. But now that you were moving back, and with a child, it was a pain- you were lucky to have some soldiers helping you.Â
but we all know Benimura probably forced then to help while he was away.
âYou guys donât have to help, if Waka threatened you then Iâll deal with him.â A few nervously laughed, while some others shock their head and said that they were happy you were back.
âWatching Waka basically torture Shinra and Arthur with the same bullshit that Konro did to him when he was their age.â
âShould she be watching that?â One of the asked with furrowed brows, you only shrugged and rolled your eyes.
âIt was either let Waka watch her, or have a wondering toddler around while we moved these boxes. I know which one I prefer.â You said while picking up another box out of company 8âČs matchbox, thankful that Obi and Hinawa let you use the vehicle- it was already going to Asakusa anyway.
Once you were inside you made your way to your new room and put down the box you were carrying. Wiping your brow, you huff, not expecting that youâd have to move so much, but you were almost done. You suddenly felt the feelings of arms around your waist, and you would think it was Suna, but sheâs not tall enough to reach that height without a step stool.
âWaka, arenât you supposed to make sure Shinra and Arthur donât die?â You ask, grabbing his hands and intertwining your fingers with his. He replied with something alongs the lines of âwould rather be with youâ, âKonroâs watching themâ, or âtheyâre fine, they wonât die, yet.â
Youâre guess was the last one.
âWhat about Suna, where is she-â
âMama!â Suna ran into the room, tackling your legs in a hug and if it wasnât for Benimura, there was a chance you wouldâve fallen over for the force Suna was running out.
âHi, baby, was it fun to watch Shira and Arthur?â Suna looked up at up with big eyes and nodded, you sighed.
âSheâs definitely your daughter Shinmon Benimura.â
âBut you wouldnât have it any other way.â It was mumbled but you heard his words loud and clear. And he was right.
âI really wouldnât.â
