sheās utterly miserable, everything that could have gone wrong had seemed to comply in outstanding fashionĀ ā she is left to trundle her way around, barely aware of where she was or where on earth she was headed. there are a few muttered curses uttered under her breath, she longs to be home, with the familiarity and comforts sheād taken advantage of. life had changed, for the worse, these creatures were up and walking and had overwhelmed it all. she remembers at first, the quarantines, the hope that things would go back to normal but in the end, they did not. it only got WORSE. she gathered her loved ones, desperate to find those she cared about, evenĀ emmelineĀ despite the fact they no longer lived in the same town. she tried calling, doing her utmost but it had failed, she even attempted to head down towards her but everything had gotten in the way. she had to deal with losing all those around her she cared about to this disease, so she only believed that her best friend must have met that same fate. it made her realise that life was a fleeting dream, one moment itās there and then the next it is not. sheād been on the road now ever since it had happened, trying her best to survive whilst making sure she didnāt run out of supplies. sheād run into a few groups, but sheād never stay, didnāt trust the people around her and become quite withdrawn. head turns, heartbeatĀ erratic atĀ suddenĀ noise, gazeĀ searchingĀ for the sourceĀ and toĀ seeĀ someone elseĀ before herĀ has herĀ feeling unease, weapon raised as form of protection and it takes a while for realisation to hit that it was no stranger, instead her best friend who she had wholly believed hadnāt made it.Ā ā you ā itās .. itās you. ā Ā it seems words fail her each time a voice attempts to flow from her lips. heart racing, shaky hands as she heads in her direction to pull her into a tight hug. it does not take much for her hardened facade to break.Ā ā oh, god, you donāt know how good it is to see you. ā
