he kneels before her once more, the same as always -really-. oh, how he'd missed this, the familiarity-- the fulfillment that came with accomplishing his purpose. the feeling of belonging. "my queen, are you content, I wonder?"
“mm?” She hummed, only for a moment acknowledging his presence, perhaps a foul mood, but she always was in one since her resurrection.
“enough so, pet.” Diana cooed, in as loving a manner as she could muster. It wasn’t the same as she would before her death, endearing, caring, loving. Not the same at all. She was anger, wrath, she wanted revenge, she’d taken back her home, but it still felt invaded.
“Actually. If you could, bring me a peach.” A simple request, maybe it would help set her at ease, maybe it would bring something kinder back. Maybe.
Your writing for thresh is top tier, 👌👌👌👌 GOOD SHIT
OH my goodness! thank you SO much that means the world to me im so glad ppl like this big green dirtbag hes the worst

“Beneath the Red Moon” Acrylic, acrylic ink, watercolor on Canson watercolor paper. 9 x 12in. . I don’t have much to share tonight, but wanted to share one of my recent favs. 😍 It’s a bit different than what I typically paint, but I was inspired by rifling through old books of mine. I stumbled upon an old nursery rhyme book I treasured for a long time. Actually one of the rhymes I still recite to this day. Typically when things are super stressful. It’s sort of my reset button. 😁 . The nursery rhyme? Well I’m currently working on a piece based upon it so I’ll speak on it more then. 😉 . Well that’s all I have for the moment. So I’ll wish you my friends a goodnight 😴✌🏾👁 . . . Original artwork by Tiffany Rankin SHOP online—www.tiffanyinkart.com (or click in BIO) . . he'd manifest in a mist of vermilion, seemingly rising from the corpses that the assassin left behind. such precise methods of murder were worthy of admiration; but it had been the SHADOWS that garnered the demon's attention. so much so that he opted to descend from his lofty throne, to meet this man himself. ' your blade is sharp and precise. you have outdone yourself yet again. '
Well.
“Hello, Thresh,” Zed whispers, bowing towards the spirit. “It is an honour to be in your presence.”
He holds the bow a moment longer, then straightens his spine and links his hands behind his back. It is not the first time he has had a strange spirit visit him — such carnage oft attracts strange beings from both his realm and others — but that does not make the visit any more special.
Those visits came from forgettable people, spirits he had never heard of before and had yet to hear of since. A visit from a demon of the blood moon, however, and one as prolific as this one—
Zed thinks he may have felt a chill run down his spine, laughable as the notion may be.
Around them, the shadows shift, reacting to Thresh’s impossible-to-ignore presence. He is terror incarnate, eyes glinting, offering only the barest hint of the horrors and accomplishments this spirit has seen.
And here the spirit is, offering Zed praise. “Again,” he says, as though he has been watching Zed for some time.
Has he?
The notion brings a smile to Zed’s face. “Thank you for the kind words,” he says, shaking his blades free of blood and sheathing them. “Anything less would mean an utter failure, as I’m sure these bodies now understand. I find that I much prefer victory to becoming one of…” He glances at a corpse, a disgruntled frown replacing his smile. “These.”
the demon formed from wisps of white mist, horrid claws so carefully covered the starchild's eyes. " guess who?" he hummed out, magenta eyes lit up (almost playfully). " you will never find out."
Cold— like bones without a home, that is the first touch that meets her skin, and the second is the gentleness of the same rough skin over her temples. The two held together like clouds, and she knows that skin almost as well as her own. The pause of breath that had caught in her throat finally slips free ( a left over fear, something her soft heart had been marred with, that had turned this cosmic born soul to a prison of flesh ), and a smile spreads over her lips.
A quiet laugh leaves her, soft and easy moving like a breeze, and her hands come to rest over his. “Won’t I?” she asks, mimicking his mischief with her own light-hearted tone. Her thumbs brush over his fingers as she lingers in that moment, willing her loneliness to leave her if only for this small time ( it is always so brief, for she will always find herself lost and alone ).
Finally, the star child turns in the space between him and his hands, shoulders cocked as she looks up into the bright, warm red of his eyes. Her hands still hold his own when she speaks, “I’ve missed you.”
he descends, silken white strands wrap around the green-lit specter in an almost embrace. his arms loop over thresh's shoulders, porcelain mask bumps against the specters face. ' oh, but my delightful mirror. i did not forget. i come bearing a gift. just for you. ' souls were quite gaudy, certainly thresh had enough. so, to him, he brought fourth a display. a variety of men and women, both holy and not, inches from death. ' i brought TOYS for you to play with. isn't it fun? '
Thresh is always, always honored and delighted to be in the presence of himself, deified and eternal and beautiful; he clasps his hands together and sets his jaw tightly enough that the flames only escape from the notches in his skull. Of course his respect is reserved only for himself. Of course.
“Ah--!”
And then his jaw drops, far lower than usual, and after he manually reaches down and puts it back in place, he throws his arms into the air and lets loose his usual raucous, booming laughter for the hundredth time tonight.
“Sweet merciful divines--this is spectacular! Fun indeed, entertaining beyond measure and generous beyond imagination. How gracious you are.”
He could only hope to be as grand as this particular mirror. In his dreams, maybe!
(Or perhaps in another life.)
