          ❛     how  was  it ?     ❜     zuko  feels  a  bit  awkward     (    but  when  doesn’t  he ?   ).     he  clears  his  throat.     ❛     being  able  to  be  home ?     ❜     much  like  katara  and  sokka,     zuko  had  been  stripped  of  his  birthplace  to  forge  a  path.     it’s  hard  to  feel  at  home  here,     especially  when  many  of  its  citizens  see  him  as  a  TRAITOR.     but  sometimes  the  feelings  settle,     that  he’s  here,     that  he’s  finally  home.     did  katara  feel  it,     too ?

psych sentence starters     //     accepting.

confidence melts ;  hands fall rather dejectedly to his side.   ( so much for trying to be cool )           ❝ heh heh...  right. ❞         shoulders rise to meet the sheepish smile blooming beneath raised brows   —--  nothing to see here.   just an awkwardly embarrassed avatar.  move along please.

lopsided grin stays on his face till katara’s attention shifts off him.  the second it does, the boy rounds on sokka with wide eyes and a  ‘dude wtf’  face , beginning a silently mouthed argument :    ❝ you said finger guns were still cool, sokka !! ❞         ‘ yeah, if you’re a dork.  they haven’t been cool in ages. ’          ❝ how am i supposed to know that ?!   i was in an iceberg for the last century ! ❞         frustration builds when the nonbender simply shrugs and walks away.   UGH !!   ( you made me look like an idiot in front of katara.   not cool. )

         ❛      nooooo,        yeahhhh…        i’m    𝒕𝒐𝒕𝒂𝒍𝒍𝒚    helping.      ❜           the    princess    drones,    although    she    certainly    isn’t    pulling    her    weight    in    pulling    the    tides    with    katara.      one    hand    lazily    motions    at    the    water,    causing    a    weak    current    as    the    other    clutches    her    drink.      she’s    bored    senseless.           ❛      are    we,    like,    done    yet?     𝚒    𝚑𝚊𝚟𝚎    𝚙𝚕𝚊𝚗𝚜.      ❜

❝ KATARA !!    over here,  come quick ! ❞          voice strains with the level of urgency behind it,  so intense one might think something had gone terribly wrong.  ( he’s standing on a cliffside.  it  certainly wouldn’t be a stretch ).    but listen closer.  the tone layered beneath urgency...   is excitement.
