I’m drunk you guys ...

I’m expanding on what I rambled about early this morning. Be prepared for even more rambling nonsense!

All along, many of us Bendemtionists and Reylos have had a fear of Ben dying. To be honest, I’m expecting Ben to die in the movie. Anakin’s destiny was to bring balance to the force, and I think that the work the that was started that Ben must finish, is to bridge the chasim between life and death.

This will also give the Skywalkers what Palpatine wants, which is to become essentially immortal. Palpatine must also be vanquished for forever, bound and thrown into the fiery pit, of it were. I have no ideas how on earth this is going to accomplished; a stake and Holy Water maybe? My only real qualm with this theory is that Ben and Rey won’t be equal, since he’ll basically be divine, and she mortal. This does have a strong mythological basis. But maybe if Rey is revealed to have been the will of the force, and has no real parents? Or if he makes her divine along with him? Kind of like Eros and Psyche. Hmmm...

Alternatively, Ben could die, become a force ghost, but then choose to come back as a mortal for Rey. These ‘force ghosts’ are very powerful.

Another odd thought that has been running around my head, is what if Ben and Rey consummate their symbolic marriage and Rey gets knocked up? (It would have to be subtle) That could be a a callback to ROTS when when Palps used Anakin’s wife and unborn children as a wedge to turn him to the dark. I’m not particularly fond of this theory, so I’m hoping this doesn’t happen.

All in all, we know that Ben must accomplish these things:

Finish that which Anakin had started

Ridding the galaxy of Palpatine

Rising (it’s in the title of the film)

Maybe I've been living under a rock, but take a look at this:

"star crossed"

Yes, this photo is literally called star crossed, as in star crossed lovers as in across the stars as in REYLO.

Their bond will turn out to run "even deeper than previously thought"? I cannot be imagining this obvious hint, either they're related (god, please no) or they're deeply connected via love.

The world seems empty.

Each morning is a struggle to wake up without you by my side. I see you everywhere. In the dual suns of Tatooine, in the clearing just out of reach of Luke’s old home, one day I may fool myself into believing that you’re actually there—that you’ve come home, to me.

Your life flows inside of me. We have become one, yet you have disappeared. I do not know where you are, my Ben, but I do know that one day we will see each other again. I can kiss you again. I can hold you again. 

I sit here, sand running through my clenched fingertips, and wonder if this is the life you were meant to give to me. How could you have known without you would be empty? It is like splitting my soul into two, the missing piece just beyond reach. 

Finn would not understand. Poe would not understand. They could not see behind the man in the mask, but I am not writing it to him I am writing it to you. The only one who could possibly comprehend this may be Leia, and I hope she is somewhere with you, Ben.

I will keep going. Keep enduring. I will not waste the life that you gave me. But one day, I will see you again. I only wish that day is not far away.
