After making the idea of Benry avoiding Gordon after the simulation, I wanted to share two more ideas I made:

1 - The trope where Benry returns but the twist is that he didn't return to Gordon or the Science Team, but with someone he knew before (my version of HLVRAI Barney Calhoun, who is a separate person from Benry in this AU), and Gordon and Science Team finding Benry and Barney at random one night. The end goal ship of this AU is Gordon x Benry x Barney, so my friend dubbed this AU as "BenBanDon AU" as a crack AU name X)

2- HotLine AU that I titled as "Good Boy AU" where Gordon works as a part-time Hotline worker and gets a call from Benry who he hasn't talked to after the arm incident (Black Mesa and the ResCas didn't happen, but Gordon loses his arm by accident). It's angsty yet spicy as Benry doesn't know till the end that the hot hotline caller that called him "Good Boy" was Gordon.
