Signe blinked heavily, her mind urging her to rest more. She looked beside her seeing that both of her hands were still interlocked, but her eyes went wide when she saw the buildings around her quickly destabilizing. The brunette jumped up, looking around for how the hell she could help. She was never one to help herself, she never felt like she deserved to be the first one to escape. The hero sighed, panicking as she saw the confused civilians and hero's, she bit her lip fully knowing what she was about to do wasn't a good idea. The hero closed her eyes, taking a deep breath as she focused the dark energy should could gather, opening a portal to the side of her. She could feel the back of her head pounding, the distance making it all the more difficult to keep open.
"Quickly, through here!" Signe yelled, directing the crowd towards it, not wanting anyone left behind. "I can't keep it open much longer." She was mumbling now, barely having the energy to speak. Her eyes slowly faded to black, the force of the energy making her use everything she could. Before she herself could get through however, she fell. Her breathing was shallow, it was hard to keep her eyes open. 'It was worth it. I helped.' Signe thought to herself, the remainder of the attendees becoming a blur, her ears ringing. She wasn't panicked, whether it was her or her powers keeping her calm was up for debate.
She remembered the last time she had exerted herself like this, it was when she was first using her powers. She fully passed out then, however. She turned, watching as various buildings started to collapse, fear starting to creep up her spine. It was as if her mind finally processed her predicament, that she was in danger. She tried to sit up, but fell back, cursing to herself. "Fuck, I don't wanna die!" She spoke, not knowing if anyone could even hear her. "Dammit, Signe, fuck, fuck, FUCK!"
