[ đĽ ] Âť Was about to say something - but that man's so much younger...
âď¸ and also of course akutagawa and maki
Anything can a correct quote if you're chaotic enough
if I had known the generator was going to give me This much to work with for Akutagawa, I would've kept generating for Ice too.
Maki: Ow! Akutagawa: Whatâs wrong? Maki: I have this weird pain right above my eyebrow. Akutagawa: Itâs called a stress headache. I got my first one when I was four.
Maki: So I have made the decision to trust you. Akutagawa: A horrible decision, really.
Akutagawa:Â I'm tired. Maki:Â You slept for three hours last night! Why are you surprised? Akutagawa:Â I'm not surprised. I just wanted to complain about it.
@bemuseingâ inquired: âwhere were youâŚ?â (eugene @ boss maybe after a close call?) [  hard-to-find hurt / comfort  ]
A moment before tragedy, fan placed between Eugene & their attacker, while other hand wrapped around them, only to let go once danger was gone.Â
Grip on his fan tightened. Such risky events shouldnât be happening, especially not to the single living person that works with them. If he was as much as second later, Eugene would probably be at least in a bad state, if not destroyed by the spirit. Something no one in office, understandably, would let him live down. Even if not too visible, anger was there. It was not directed at Eugene after all, but on Boss himself & hopefully not something younger would pick up on. After all even after all these years, he almost failed his most basic task.
However, it wasnât a worry anymore, crisis was already averted. Small breath in & breath out, before âansweringâ the question.
â  I was dealing with something in different side of city, my apologies. I thought it was in a zone with Joan, didnât expect for it to find you.  â Not much of an explanation, however neither was he willing to go into details. â  I hope you werenât badly injured because of my mistake. Would you like to go home early?  â
@bemuseingââs Rengoku asked: âI'm worried about you.â / meme.
That gives Leon pause. After an exhibition match he was always swamped with reporters, the endless stream of camera flashes and microphones being pushed towards him just another thing heâd learned to deal with. Sure, he was tired, and he still had a nasty graze on his forearm from where some Rock Smash shrapnel had come shooting towards him, but none of that was enough of an excuse to free him from his post-battle expectations.
He was a Champion.
Injured and exhausted or not, it was his responsibility to engage with those that kept Galarâs competitive wheels turning, even if his knees felt about ready to buckle under the mental strain this League keeps forcing him through.
           â Thereâs no need to be.  â
If he allowed himself a momentâs pause, Leon might be a little concerned with how easy itâs become to lie through his teeth like this. Well-intentioned deception or not, surely he couldnât keep this mask from slipping forever.
But for now, at least, he ignores those thoughts and flashes a smile, as carefree and bright as it had been in his childhood.
           â You know me, Kyou. Iâm always giving my best performances when under pressure! Galarâs- Well, itâs just really good at keeping up said pressure. Thatâs all.  â
           â Now, come on! If we stand around here for much longer, weâll get caught up in the stadium crowds.  â
Leon links his arm with Kyoujurouâs (a necessity, unless he wanted to get lost in Wyndonâs streets) and starts guiding them away from the noise of Dynamax battle and commentatorâs chatter.

@bemuseingâ and @mirroredrangerâ [Appeal]
   âOho! Now thatâs quite an interesting Appeal--drawing on PokĂŠmon native to Unima for your performance!â He claps his hands. âWhile I have to say the beginning of your Appeal was a little more on the basic end, I also applaud you for the intricate stunts and the more dazzling visuals that you had toward the end. For this, I give you a 7/10 in Aesthetic Mastery. Unfortunately, youâll have to make do with a 6/10 in Technical Mastery, for that big, big accident there with the Gabite and the Minun--Valerie, you did quite a good job saving your partner, but Iâll have to admit, that moment jarred me out of the Appeal completely. However, for your Thematic Mastery, I want to give you an 8/10. I would have preferred more of aâŚstory? A story to be told, but the way you synthesized something as grand as Legendary symbolism at the end with such an upbeat soundtrack is quite admirable. Your total from me is 21 points!â
   âLunick, I for one donât think your fall was an accident,â he says. âWhile that moment was indeed rather jarring to see next to the expert care you put into the rest of the Appeal, I wish to award you with a 9/10 in Technical Mastery. Your ability to train PokĂŠmon whom you barely know to perform such feats is truly second to none--a mark of true Rangers. As for your Aesthetic Mastery, Iâd like to give you another 8/10. You synthesized perfectly with the music, though I would have perhaps used the colors and contrasts of your moves a little more cleverly in the beginning. Still, though, you deserve to be given credit for the way in which you utilized moves that were unfamiliar to you. Finally, for your Thematic Mastery, I would like to award you a 10/10 for showing us the different aspects of the potential that your region carries--from Legendary exploits to simply having fun with your PokĂŠmon. This brings your total from me to 27 points!â
   âHeâs absolutely right that your Appeal was so fun to watch!â Feiyun says, fist-pumping with excitement. âYour Aesthetic? 7/10, easy. I felt you got more complex with your visuals toward the end, but you still did a great job with the first half! The only thing I didnât like about it wasâŚwell. The scenes of your PokĂŠmon fighting. I felt like the staged fights took away from the overall upbeatness of your Appeal. Your Technical Mastery, Iâd like to give a 10/10 for the way you put everything together. Valerie, your one-handed handstand on top of Arcanineâs back was just astounding to me, as is the fact youâve managed to bond so fast with new PokĂŠmon. Especially a Leviathoar--the Great Leviathans of Unima donât give themselves to just anyone like that, so you must be really special! And for your Thematic Mastery? 9/10! Only a single point taken off because I didnât understand that your PokĂŠmon were supposed to represent the Legendary Dogs at first. From me, youâve earned your 26 points!â
Oh, what a nice score these two are getting. âTwould be a shame if somethingâŚâŚ
Happened to it.
   âWell, at least they liked it,â she says sassily. âBut let me tell you something: I didnât. The beginning, apart from the handstands? It positively bored me. I almost stopped paying attention as soon as I saw you made your Arcanine jump through hoops, and everything that happened afterward didnât really make up for it. Only at the end did I truly see something that caught my attention, and even then, it was disappointingly short. For your Aesthetic Mastery, Iâm giving you a 4/10.
   âThatâs to say nothing of the obvious accident that happened in the middle with your Garchomp and Minun. I have to say, the rest of your technique showed you all clearly had skill, but Iâm going to have to echo Wallace in giving you a 6/10 for your technique due to that slip-up. And as for your representation of your region? 5/10. I do love a good show that features bonding with PokĂŠmon, but at the same time, I had no idea you were talking about the Legendary Dogs Suicune, Entei and Raikou until the other judges started explaining it to me, and even then, I didnât see any sort of story about their connection to your region--or really, any story at all. This brings your total from me to 15 points.â
   âYouâre on thin ice,â Wallace says disapprovingly. âLetâs hope your comments on the last Appeal are kinder. Now, onto bonuses. You receive +15 for soaking the audience and +15 for performing that stunt with the handstand. This brings your total toâŚâ
TOTAL: 119 POINTS
GRAND TOTAL: 310 POINTS
Lyric Starter for @bemuseing for Kunikida
Mochi was perched on top of a flattened, red pillar. Most didnât seem to realize the pillar itself was made of his own blood. He had picked an odd location to do this, outside of a ranger station. Of course he had no idea where he was, for he had only just woken up, confused and alone. Adept hearing picked up easily on footsteps approaching,
âI donât wanna go to sleep,â his fingers typed on the tablet he held in his hand. His only way of communicating. âIn all my dreams I drown...â
Probably should text Kunikida to make a list of the dumbest things tourists have said and done. He has documentation for a good chunk of the spring time.
