Musings : Freshwater souls vs saltwater souls
//Yāknow, while Iāve been chilling, I ran into one of thoseĀ āIf the multiverse theory is true, then thereās a universe where itās not!ā things followed by something about ghosts and was likeĀ āHuh, what if Sal or Bonely went to a universe where ghosts/spirits didnāt exist?āĀ
//Like, the existence of ghosts/spirits is so ingrained to their story, not having ghosts might actually make things difficult for them. Like, Salem thrivesĀ on helping folks and being able to communicate with the ethereal beings of his world, while Bonelyās literally only alive because of a dark spirit/demon. Heck, keimin magicĀ is legit energy that is produced by their souls.
//So what if they were to enter a universe where spirits, even dark spirits, didnāt exist? If spirits had their own subatomic particles that produced energy, what would it be like for them to be in a universe completely void of those particles & energies? Tbh I think it might be like putting a salt-water fish in freshwater. Although they can last for a while, being in an environment completely devoid of a particle and energy found in all parts of their world would probably make them very sick and likely kill them if they didnāt get back to their world.
//I think the only way to prevent this kind of salt-water fish vs fresh water scenario is actually with a World Jumperās tool which is specifically made to shield its user with a kind of invisible forcefield/membrane to keep such scenarios from happening. However, if Sal or Bonely were to fall or accidentally walk through a Rift, theyād only have so much time to get back or at least send a distress signal before the world theyāve entered tries toĀ āequalizeā itself with them by draining their energy/ghost particles. IE: bad news for my boyos.
//On the other hand, what if someone from a world where ghosts/spirits donāt exist came to BelāTerum? Would theyĀ get sick from their bodies not knowing how to process these new particles? Or would these particles rejuvenate them like they do the residents? Would they give them new abilities like Superman receiving his abilities via the various rays from our sun, or would they mutate in some new, terrible way no oneās thought of? The possibilities are endless and incredibly fascinating to think about!
