“As someone who you’ve left on read I’m feeling really attacked here.” As if he were dealing with a broken heart Tristen gripped at his chest in a false sense of pain, even acting out a whimper. Although, he had a thing for over aggerating these mannerisms to display it was all in good fun. After all, Tristen was one to throw some sort of humour in just about anything to lighten the mood even if it’s just ever so slightly.

“Why don’t you take a vacation or I could spend a few weeks up here to keep you company, it’ll be fun.” There was excitement bundling up at the suggestion. Spending some time out of the house and with Francis of all people sounded lovely, and brought up the chance to warm up further with the elder of the two.

“I’ve got free time anyway, it would be no trouble.”

Had he really left Tristen on read? There were so many texts, it was hard to keep track of them. The thought of a second cellphone briefly cross his mind--one for all of the important people in his life, and then the other for... well, everyone else. Ah, well, no matter. He had attention now, so he was definitely going to revel in it.

“Mon cher, of course I had every intention of replying to you. I just happened to get lost on the path of life.” Of course that was a lie, but the way he explained himself with such a wistful tone, there was always a chance he could surely convince someone who wasn’t familiar with him.
