Nothing I just love what you're saying about the dangers of generalizing because it's SO important. My mom is Asian and my dad is Jewish so I'm pretty familiar with the grossness of stereotyping. I truly hope that it lessens within the fandom which is supposed to bring us enjoyment. You make this fandom a better place and I really appreciate all that you're saying. (Btw this is my second message to you in two days, I'm a creepy little shit, but I'm just SO happy to know your attitude exists)

yeah i meanâand iâm not trying to pull any sort of card hereâbut iâm jewish and i would be lying if a part of my response to all this drama wasnât born out of the fact that my culture is defined by people telling us we didnât belong, didnât matter, and basically hunting and chasing us from every place weâve ever lived.Â
iâm white passing but i grew up distinctly aware that there still were parts of western culture which i knew i wasnât allowed, and where i was different. that plus a history with depression makes me very very triggered by this stuff, even though the op wasnât directed at me.
thereâs also justâŠ.a lot of hypocrisy on BOTH sides of this situation and i just want to open a dialogue about that. why are CSers allowed to make posts about the actorsâ opinions and others arenât? why are our thoughts more valid than others? theyâre not. just because our ship is canon doesnât mean that our experiences are more valid than anyone elses.Â

Just wanted to say, in light of the recent hate/drama, as someone who HATES fandom negativity, I've always loved your blog, not only because of your wonderful posts and amazing metas, but because you're so open-minded to other shippers and perspectives. In a fandom that really seems to lack that, it is always so refreshing to come onto this blog. I'm 100% a CS-er but I hate trash-talking other ships and shippers, so yeah, thank you for making this blog a great placefor people like me
I saw that called into question the other day (in light of that recent drama) and though i don't really care, it still saddened me a bit to see it called pandering--but this message really was nice, coming off that.Â

I think she demands to be her mother in a blink of an eye not understanding what Emma has been through although she's happy to have found her family, and then when MM realized that Emma is a grown up it seems to me she just gives up trying to be a mother and it's okay with the fact⊠I don't know, perhaps she'll try to be in 4th season but her behavior doesn't please me
i so agree with this. another thing about snow that kind of upset me was how quickly she was willingly leave stay behind with david, leaving emma virtually parentless once more, despite promising to put emma first.
It is, someting she said on impulse, we don't know if she would have done it for real, but it's true that she tends to take Emma for an adult who doesn't need a mother, because for Snow it seems that only a baby needs a mother, which is an understandable mindset for her, however, the fact it wasn't something they dealt with bugs me a lot
