Hey my dears, sorry for the lack of me being able to give an update on what’s been going on lately.

Just wanted to say, I’m working on an emergency BunnyDoll fic I came up with but my motivation has been hard blocked constantly by my life and, shit kind of hit the fan for me in real life.

I promise I’ll make sure you guys are well fed with good content, and that I can continue Shy and I’s Beauty and the Beast AU as well as The Wilted of Truth and Madness (along with more café items).

It’s just…been a real shitshow this week, I’ll be real with you. I can’t go into too many details but, let’s just say some folks in my life are giving me a hard time and I’m on my period which doesn’t help my wellbeing.

But, again, I promise I’ll get back to you guys. Making fanfics makes me happy, and especially knowing it makes others happy is what makes me feel good so….don’t worry.

So uh…for what it’s worth; I think this one’s gonna have, I estimate…6.0K words at least? By the end of it?

You know how in most books, TV Shows, Movies, Video Games, and so on have produced something something in the plot that seems random but actually will come as a surprise tool that will help the plot later?

That my dears is what is known as “Chekov’s Gun”, a term used by Russian author Anton Chekhov uses in his writing formula,

“every element in a narrative must be necessary, and irrelevant elements should be removed.”

Basically, anything that is to be noted as an important detail must serve somehow in the plot in the future. This can come in the form of an object, a rule, a setting, or anything that’s noteworthy enough to be remembered by the audience until it’s brought up again to be used.

Everything must serve as a purpose and needs to have a reason for being there instead of just being there for kicks and giggles, and while I would suggest you use this to your advantage, don’t add too much that could overwhelm you later.

Whatever helps you best to set up something that happens later in the plot, make sure it occurs in a way that makes sense and comes back in a way that makes your audience feel satisfied of the narrative.
