The Seven Sisters;

Alcyone - ‘queen who wards off evil [storms]’ - the eldest of the sisters, can control the weather and climate. human form is that of a Tuareg woman.

Maia - ‘grandmother’, ‘mother’, ‘nurse’; ‘the great one’ (Latin) - second eldest of the sisters, controls lights, the mother hen, is closest with Alcyone. human form is that of a Kichwa woman.  

Celaeno - ‘swarthy’ or ‘dark-skinned’ - third eldest of the sisters, controls shadows and darkness. human form is that of an Ashanti woman.

Merope - ‘eloquent’, ‘bee-eater’, ‘mortal’ - fourth eldest of the sisters, beauty,  enchanting voice, similar to a siren. hum form is that of a Brazilian woman.

Taygeta - tanygennetos, ‘long-necked’ - fifth eldest of the sisters, controls earth. human form that of a Southern Ndebele woman.

Asterope - ‘lightning’, ‘twinkling’, ‘sun-face’, ‘stubborn-face’ (Indo-European ster-, ‘star’, ‘stellar’, ‘asterisk’, etc.) - sixth youngest of the sisters, can control electricity and lightning, Electra is her twin sister. human form is that of a Korean teenage girl.

Electra - ‘amber’, ‘shining’, ‘bright’ (Indo-European wleik-, ‘to flow, run’, as a liquid); electrum is an alloy of silver and gold, and means amber in Latin, as does the Greek elektron - the youngest of the sisters, controls  electricity and lightning, Asterope is her twin. human form is that of a Korean teenage girl.
