Friday Ginreview - Tanneke Gin London dry - Belgian Style “Tanneke Gin is based on the special story of Tanneke Sconyncx, a Gottem woman who was accused of witchcraft. On Christmas eve of the year 1602, she was locked in the prison of Tielt by the end of the Balj, where she eventually died after days of torture. Although she initially denied everything, she broke after a long time. Because she had not requested forgiveness for her sins, Tanneke was buried in unmarried ground in her birthplace, Gottem, close to a pond still called a witch well. The Tanneke gin is unique and in full harmony with the story behind. Nettle, licorice and hops are the herbs that give Tanneke, the other herbs come from Gottem's immediate surroundings, but keep her secret. The taste is accessible, fresh and spicy with floral keys. What makes the bottle so special is the authentic character of the candle wax and legend of Tanneke that is attached to a bottle of paper” Nose: Hints of liquorice, so good aroma because I’m big friend of liquorice ☺️ Palate: Liquorice taste comes first with crispy notes in background. Taste is gentle and enjoyable. I like Tanneke gin taste plain, its fresh and mild spiciness is inspiring to have little more gin in tasting glass and little more.. :) 🔝🍸 Tanneke Gin is 40% strong I do Gintonic tasting tomorrow (saturday) so be tuned, I’m sure that this gin will produce super GT’s #fridayginreview #gin #gintasting #ginblogger #ginspiration #ginlovers #tannekegin #belgianstyle #londondrygin #belgiangins (at Lohja)
