Baby week 7 day 1
Isabel my fiancé and I got engaged in August. It was pretty cliche, we went to Hawaii and had a surreal time. We get back all is well, a week or so passes and she is missing her period by a few days. We think nothing of it, with the stress of her work we wrote it off as stress for missing her period. We couldn't be more wrong. She went to the store to get a test all nonchalant just for a precautionary measure. I was unaware of her recent purchase being that we(or I as it were) wrote it off as stress. She walks out of the bathroom holding a test and her eyes filled with tears as she said " Justin, I'm pregnant." It had hit me like a car on the interstate. "What do I do?" I thought and the only thing I knew to do was to grab her and pull her close. She wept with tears of joy, unbenounced to her the struggles that lay ahead. With joy in our hearts we thought of the life we created. All the happy memories we have as a kid projected on to this little baby we know nothing about. We were excited for the bliss that comes from bringing life in to the world. We knew there were going to be hurtles and struggles but not so much heartbreak. The look she gave me that night as she approved me was ingrained in my brain for ever, as if I painted a picture at that exact moment. I will never forget it, and neither should anyone. I cherish that thought when we face our struggles of a touch and go pregnancy.
