Kindness is universal. Sometimes being kind allows others to see the goodness in humanity through you. Always be kinder than necessary.

The kids at Memorial Children’s Hospital in South Bend, Indiana, stare out of their windows for hours on end each day.
But they don’t do so wistfully. They’re on a mission. Although it seems like they’re just scoping out the construction workers across the street, they’re actually on the hunt for something way cuter than sweaty dudes in neon vests. These little ones are looking for the stripe-wearing cartoon that so often evaded us as children: the infamous Waldo.
Okay, Waldo might not be cuter than this particular construction worker.

When Jason Haney realized that he and his crew were working next to a children’s hospital, they knew that they had to do something for the kids inside.

The foreman and his colleagues had been working on the site for months, and last winter, they built a snowman that thrilled kiddos and doctors alike. Once summer rolled around, they decided to come up with a new plan.

That’s when Haney’s coworker suggested that they build a giant Waldo for the kids to find. After thinking about it for a bit, Haney ran with the idea.

Every day, the crew hides Waldo in different spots on the site. Patients, parents, and physicians can’t get enough!

When he’s notified that someone has spotted him, Haney moves the figure.

Can you find him?
But here’s what makes the whole thing really special.

When Haney decided to make the Waldo cutout, he enlisted help from his daughter, who needed special care from another children’s hospital when she was a toddler after having a severe stroke. He always reserves a special place in his heart for the doctors who care for these amazing patients.

She Was Having The Worst Week When One Comment Made Life Make Sense Again
When your life is crazy, it’s so hard to even do the simple things.
Jamie Primak Sullivan wrote in a Facebook post that she was having the worst few days. Once she finally returned home from a different city, she was thrown right back into picking up the kids and doing chores. When she realized she had to go to the grocery store and only had 50 minutes to do it with two of her children in tow, she felt completely frazzled. On top of all of that, it was a new store, so she didn’t know how to find anything.
She wrote, “Finally, after the 15th time asking them to quiet down, stand by me, stop touching everything all the while my Jersey accent getting thicker by the second — my face dropped. My chin slumped to my chest. I was physically and emotionally exhausted.”

Adorable Student Used Google Translate To Make A Classmate From Mexico Feel Welcome
When 10-year-old Amanda Moore noticed a new boy at school sitting alone at lunch, she tried to introduce herself. However, he spoke very little English and could not understand her kind words.
Rafael Anaya had recently moved to California from Mexico. He was still in the process of learning English and only knew a few common phrases. It must have been terrifying to be in a new elementary school full of people he didn’t understand, but Amanda wasn’t going to let a little language barrier stand in her way. That evening, she used Google Translate to write a letter to Rafael in Spanish.
The translation wasn’t perfect, but Rafael understood it. The letter reads: “Would you like to sit with me today? Look for me and I will show you where I sit. We can color or simply tell scary stories. Thank you for your time. Signed: Amanda”

When she asked her mom if it was okay to deliver the letter, Kimber was so full of pride that she taught her daughter how to fold it “old-school style.”
