I'm just happy I could help <3 See, the thing with trainers is that "professional" means little more than "charges money". There's an abundance of courses that offer some sort of certificate but aren't supervised in any way so they can literally give the papers out to anyone. There's currently ONE course I know of that I don't have major problems with and even then, while the science is sound, I disagree with a few details that are more about the ethics. 'Professional' means nothing unless it's backed with a scientific and humane approach. Obviously in this case you knew better how to read your dog's signals than that trainer, and I'm happy you stuck to what you believed was right, your girl is definitely better off this way :)

I'm certain you can get her successfully to a dog park with other people around, if not right now then very soon. Perhaps if you see people there that you're unsure about, try approaching with your dog on a long leash (you can tie a string to it to extend it so she can play on it). If she gets nervous, treat her generously and walk away (so she still remembers it as a good thing), but if she does good you can let her off leash immediately.
