Serious answer: If you're gonna brand your entire fandom on being a family, you need to fucking act like it.

I watched said fandom bully my favorite artist off of Tumblr merely for speaking about their experiences as a queer POC in fandom spaces. I'm not saying the name of the artist or the fandom in question (but like... y'all know), largely because I got anon hate whenever I reblogged anything in support of said artist. But this person is now legitimately traumatized just because the fandom fam couldn't handle a good faith criticism of a piece of media that the artist even loved. Their business was ruined, they've been doxxed... it's fucked up. It's really fucked up and it breaks my heart.

Thank you! Alas, no, I don’t do history work. I am but a humble alterations tailor for a suit store in the mall. It’s not a bad job though! It’s easy brainless work once you get used to all the usual alterations that need doing, and since I’m working in the backroom no customers see me, which means the dress code is only a suggestion. Which is good, because I don’t have any modern shirts at all. Usually I wear 18th century shirts, late 18th century waistcoats, and fall front trousers. (Much as I love breeches, their buttons get in the way of the knee levers on the industrial sewing machines I use at work.)
