QQs self hatred steams from a decision he made when he was 7 sweeps, he was being removed from an extremely violent culler (the reason his throat was cut and his thumbs removed) he had the opertunity to stay for just one more week, to represent in court a couple more times, to remove somebody else from the hive with him, but he didn't. he chose to never have to return, and when he tried to go back, to get them out after he was in a safer place, both them and his old culler had disappeared from the face of the planet.

Ques height is ectremely stunted for his age and while his blames it on the malnutrition he went through as a child it inst the full story. Que was very starved as a child but his height should still be much it high than it is. the truth is that he's struggled with not feeding himself for days on end until he did something well enough to feel he deserved it (perticually good break-through on a case, culler arrested, hiden evidence uncovered, etc.) a problem that's only been recently handled as his current kids (railie, deadea, blueil, doulix) began to notice him not eating when he said he was which led to him actually eating so that they wouldn't get suspicius of him. this actually fixed his height by 3 feet in literally 4 sweeps, finally at an actually good growth rate finally.
