Before I die I want to: • Keep living as fully and vibrantly as possible. A memento mori for the modern age.
On Friday I met up with Adam, he’s a good friend (who lives in London and is in Birmingham for the bank holiday weekend), we caught up, drank coffee and saw some art, as we do. On wondering around town we found a ‘before I die’ wall, which is a global art project in which people can write on the wall what they want before they die. It’s very interesting to look at!
I love interactive art, so I had to write something! I picked up the chalk, found space on the wall, but when I came to write my sentence I paused... I turned to Adam and said “I don’t know what to write..” he simply asked ‘well what do you want to do before to die’ and I straight out said write a novel. So in bright pink chalk I clearly wrote ‘publish a novel’.
I will do this.
