I did these illustrations about Beethoven for german kids magazine ZEITLeo @schmitzrich >>>swipe to see all in detail>>> Beethoven was born 250 years ago and marked european music as few other did. #illustration #marlenekrause #ilustracion #illustrator #zeitleo #ilustracioninfantil #kindermagazin #beethoven #beethoven250 #famouscomposer (hier: Wien Museum Beethoven Museum) https://www.instagram.com/p/CAsKSu_BZMT/?igshid=6sm4odv2a5r5
The hall glowed orange and gold for one of the most festive nights of the season 🍂Fall Gala! Music Director Jaap van Zweden led the Orchestra in Beethoven’s Fifth Symphony and Beethoven’s Piano Concerto No. 2 with @langlangpiano. Swipe through for shots of Concertmaster Frank Huang backstage, Lang Lang at his Black Diamond @steinwayandsons, and a scene from the glam dinner at the Koch Theater where Jaap presented outgoing Chairman Oscar Schafer with a priceless token of appreciation — the very baton he snapped during the concert! #nyphil #nyphilharmonic #orchestra #fallgala #beethoven #beethoven250 (at New York Philharmonic) https://www.instagram.com/p/B3a7_WyBP6W/?igshid=u0dics5ru5iv

Celebrate Beethoven!
A special Season Premiere Event on Musica in Extenso, celebrating the brilliant composer, Ludwig van Beethoven.Â
Don’t miss the start of the new season: 5 October > Beethoven 250 (2/3)
Hello everybody!Â
Long time no read, huh? I’m always invited back by our editor-in-chief because he’s just the best and I actually love to share music.Â
So, things got a little bit tight here in Guatemala when it comes to incomes, so I had to return to my parents house for a while. They had my piano which they wanted to sell, and I almost had a mini heart attack when I heard. So, now, in order to keep the piano from being sold, I’ve been practicing a lot and listening to some of my old music records.Â
So in Beethoven 250 week I remember this piece was one of my teacher’s favorite. I never actually got to play Beethoven when I was studying piano because they told me I was too little and not ready.. Which I find ironic since Beethoven started at a very early age. But I guess “they knew best” lol.Â
So, I’ll leave you to a teenager house in some part of the history, practicing this piece as the sun sets and the cat purrs:Â
Composer: Ludwig van Beethoven (1770-1827)Â
Pianist: Rudolf SerkinÂ
Year Recorded: 1988
Hope to be collabing more on this blog this season.
Best vibes, Juanma.Â
It’s time to contiune our Beethoven 250 Week, here at Musica in Extenso. This jubilee was a perfect way to start the new 2020-2021 season and to feature as our Season Premiere Event.Â
For this post I choose a piano sonata (yes, again). I really like to listen piano sonatas composed by Beethoven, so I think, that the famous Pathetique sonata is a great choice for today.Â
Today on Musica in Extenso:
Ludwig van Beethoven
Sonata No. 8 Op. 13, Pathetique
Daniel Barenboim
Enjoy! -Â Editor-in-Chief
